    The review I needed! Was trying to find out about the stability of the airselfie and now I'm going to pick up a Ryze Tello! You're the man!

    You Nailed it!
    Of the three products you reviewed only the Tello has good flight characteristics because of its superior design. I use a DJI-Mavic which cost quite a bit more then these smaller drones.
    I make Indie movies and we used my girlfriends Airselfie to simulate a turbulent airplane ride. So they are good for that.
    Great video!

    Older video...theres the Hover Air X1 out now. But at the price of it at the same as budget DJI competitors like the Fimi or Potensic, I would get the Tello. Or get the Potensic or Fimi.

  • @spencerboaz2385

    The tello , if it had been my first drone it might be my only drone , after looking at how much I have spent on all the other drones I have . No it's not compatible with my mavic and it's not a phantom but for the price , I have to give the gold star to tello . For your first drone get the tello and see if you need a $1400 drone .

    • @jeremytucker8853
      @jeremytucker8853 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly, I have the parrot bebop and Anafi but also the Tello. To be honest, I don't make money with my drone so there really is no need for all the cinematics. The tello has decent cinematics for when I need it but its top notch selfie. The best thing on the market by way of selfie drone and thats all I really need. May get into fpv racing sooner or later.

      @@jeremytucker8853 Yeah I have been thinking about a racer a lot lately . They have got a lot more user friendly also . I love my tello just wish it had more range . I bought the Mi
      range extender and never have got it to work . They need something that you just turn on and click on in your wifi like the tello does . If it's out there I haven't found it .

    • @jeremytucker8853
      @jeremytucker8853 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@spencerboaz2385 That's not very encouraging about the Mi, ,I just purchased one for my tello hoping to extend the range because the range is so limited as is. If i'm able to get the Mi to work, i'll leave as much detail as I can to maybe help you out with setting it up. Either way i'll let you know how it goes. I also just purchased the marvel edition for $60 bucks.

    • @spencerboaz2385
      @spencerboaz2385 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jeremytucker8853 Wow man that was a good buy . I have the first white one . I have not had any luck getting the Mi to work I have watched videos and followed the instructions as best as I could there not too clear . I tend to believe if you don't get it right the first try it remembers what you did wrong and can't fix it . I have quit trying too much headache . I'm looking for a plug and play even if it don't reach as far . Also you only get about 13 minutes to get all of it set up and going . I don't want to use all my fly time in setting it up . I wish you the best of luck with it , but I'm not the only one that has come to hate it , many stories the same as mine . It was a waste of $15 bucks for me .

    This is quality content. Great informative review that really has helped me make a decision about a small selfie drone for holidays.
    Have you seen that AirSelfie are releasing a 3rd version of their drone AirPix? Scheduled
    for release September 2019. Might be worth reviewing?
    For now, I’m going to give this Tello a look!

    The Eachine e014 is the winner if you like to also fly drones.. Comes with a transmitter and you can turn off optical flow. App control is good. Only $35.00.

    What I like most about the AirSelfie and its copy is that the rotors are enclosed. I don’t know if this makes them much more robust than other drones but it’s certainly safer for family members when it’s flying around between them. When I see a drone I always think of that British boy whose eye got cut off by a drone at a wedding!
    The video quality looks bad on all of them, even the Tello. It’s painfully obvious the Tello only uses digital stabilization because the video shows the typical stutters that result from digitally stabilizing footage that suffers from severe jello effect (especially in low light).

      You can’t fly the AirSelfie2 outside. So it won’t be able to take pictures like that. I’d recommend looking at the DJI Spark

    It's really hard to tell which one to buy, I'll be travelling alone in next couple of months. Since I'll be on my own, I might need one of these to take with for a travel especially outdoor photography. For now, I like AirSelfie2 but like you said its not suitable for outdoor, so don't know which one to go for?!

      @@HalfChrome I have checked out Mavic Air. It has 4K recording capability which is good but its too expensive compared to Spark and Hover 2..I'm trying to avoid anything with fan, had experience once when I was filming for my university project we borrowed a drone camera from university and broke it (my friend did it) turns out it was already broken by the previous group who used it before us. So we were safe, but can't go through that trauma again and would prefer something like AirSelfie 2 or Hover 2..I'm taking my time to make a decision and thanks for all the advice, didn't know there were more selfie drones out in the market.

    Question as, I just received my AS2 yesterday. Are all drones typically noisy? I ask, not because I want to spy on my neighbors (them moving away would be optimal). I ask because I would like to use it for things like pictures and video of my own pets and wildlife, like bird's nests in trees, when I go to the park. But, when I turned the AS2 on, it scared the heck out of ME. I'm not discounting that it takes some power to even keep the AS2 airborne. Just wondering if there are any quieter drones, quadcopters or flying cameras out there, that are small in size. I know that, some years ago, I purchased a tabletop fan for work, specifically because it was quieter than all the others I was shopping. But, for flight purposes, I don't know tat there's a compromise between noise and being airborne.

    • @HalfChrome
      @HalfChrome  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The AS2 is actually one of the quieter drones out there.

    • @privateprivate8366
      @privateprivate8366 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I see. Good to know. Thanks. Then it makes me happy that I got it, despite the optics. If I later need a drone that has great optics, then I’ll get that but, this is fine for now.

    Flying the air selfie as a drone is just not what it is built for. It's a flying camera, not a drone per se.
