Oh my gosh..this Plantation was one of my favorites on our vacation in 1995. We toured New Orleans and of course The River Road. My Father's family are of French Canadian descent that ended up in New Orleans and married into the Creole communities. I love everything about the South and especially NOLA. I moved from Southern Illinois along the Ohio in Gallatin County to South Western Arkansas after my husband passed. Im close enough to visit Louisiana now when I want. The tour of this Plantation is so full of history and its a beautiful place.
Drove past this plantation twice every day during my commute the Nicholls University in 1970's! Great restoration job. It didn't look as good back then!
I found this book just got done reading it was trying to find out how to pronounce the last name and found this. Y'all are the ones that found everything that was almost lost! Thank you
I was fortunate enough to get to walk Laura with Mr Morrmillion. Wayy back on 94 ish.. qe saw peaches from the 20s and the maison de reprise still had cows . Long story mr norman.knows im sure. This plantation and Mr Norman helped wake me up to the drama of slavery.. i love him for waking me up.
This video when it comes to King Benjamin Freely And Triple Helpfully Edutaining Academy is what I’m for, That is what I do all the time and I also play the video again and again and again until the upcoming virtual class today at 9 o’clock
I truly believe all plantations should be torn down because it’s a very hurt reminder to black folks that went through this I don’t agree with seeing videos like this thumbs down 👎
But you have your freedom to not watch this video. You are not forced to do anything with any plantations. You are not a victim so stop acting like you are.

Great video. I'm headed to New Orleans in May. I'll be visiting Oak Alley, Whitney and/or Laura plantations
I've been wanting to go here for YEARS.

Plantation owner Laura, was heartless she had no soul.
I'd like to buy that house.
