      I was also quite surprised about the sound profile! Much, much better than expected!
      Oh, thank you so much, I try to sync the music whenever it's possible, it's quite difficult sometimes tho. :')

      Right?!?! It's so thick and thocky, I really like them! (Even though the design of the Neo Tokyo set is so cute and retro, I stick with the frosted set for a while, it's so convenient for my fingers LOL)

    oh hell yeah! Yeah the P65 has gotten better esp since the firmware update that dropped recently. Defintely one of the coolest keebs I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I'm jealous that you got the neo tokyo series as i had just barely learned of it the other day - and the phantom series! Hoenstly I love the sound of the neo tokyo caps, I already own the midnight lilac version, but I would probably buy the phantom series if it goes back in stock again. And man, that latency for these HE boards is just fantastic. I had a feeling HEs would be some of the lowest latency boards tested on the channel. 10/10 review Thoccc!

      Oh, yes! I have to thank you for mentioning the Polar65 a while ago and sharing your experience, it served as the seed for this review!
      I was quite skeptical about HE latencies (I had a bad experience with optical switches and premature HE solutions before), so this keyboard gave back my hope for HE keyboards in general.
      Especially the surprise of the creaminess of these switches! I never expected such a thing from Gateron (also, bad influence due to the faulty Oil King batches). So many pleasant surprises on this board! ^-^

      @@thoccnology literally the best keyboard I have owned. And that says something since I never owned a mechanical keyboard and used membrane for the past 4-5 years. The rapid trigger with actuation points is so smooth in fps games. And sounds great too

  • @802Garage
    @802Garage หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Wow seems super nice! Sounds good too. I like that there are no blank spaces on the board. I just want someone to keep it that way with a 75% and add a knob! Those black keycaps are like what I may get for my Aula 75 at some point. Do you have a favorite keyboard? You could do a top 10 video sometime or something similar. 😁

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm with you on the 75% with-knob version, very much so! :)
      Oh, that's a good video idea, thank you! It'll be hard to choose only 10, but I'll do my best! ^^
      (If I could keep only one single keyboard, it would be the Hi75 probably.)

    WOW what a stunner :D The black translucent keycaps looks SO good, i didnt think id like it as much as i did honestly! LOVE the sound profile too i expected clack, not thoccy and creamy so thats very nice! The Latency being the icing on the cake really, ill have to consider this one for my next keeb for sure :3 Another awesome point for me personally is that my main game is called NEOTOKYO, its a Half Life 2 mod from 2006 being kept alive by an awesome community. So seeing Neo tokyo on there makes me happy ^^ Another note with this one having the number 13 as well is funny because we are currently trying to port the game to the 2013 SDK and one of the nicknames is NEOTOKYO 13. Funny how things align like that sometimes :p Thanks for the showcase! This is very high up on my bucket list now :3

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Aw, that's such a heart-warming point of view! I haven't heard about this Half Life mod yet, I'll put it on the list for future games, sounds promising that there's a dedicated community that holds it so dear!
      Let me add to this alignment - it was a Friday when the package arrived and I opened it and saw the number 13! ...Not Friday the 13th, but still, it made me feel lucky! ^^
      I'm eagerly waiting for their 75% version, which can be an endgame for many gamers, if all goes well! :3

      @stellanova522 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thoccnology Thats even cooler then because the main community day for the game is Friday, NeoTokyo Friday is a big thing for us x) Yea a 75% would be ideal for me too :D ill have to look out for that for sure :3

    Hope you can get some HAIMU Middle Night switches next! I think they're slightly deeper or thockier than the Vertex V1's!
    Or maybe an HMX Canglang V2's
    I wanna know which of these three switches are the thockiest.
    They're all budget friendly!

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, what a timing! HAIMU(/Huano) just reached out to me for reviewing the Caramel Latte switches.
      So thank you for the Middle Night idea, I'll try to review them too!
      The HMX Canglan V2 is quite deep sounding, but only among the other HMX switches - they're still very clacky!
      I just reviewed the Canglan V2 recently - I also included the Vertex V1 in the short comparison, check out if that's useful for you!
      The thockiest (I mean the deepest thock) so far has been the Vertex V1 (but Duhuk Lumia Matcha V4 and BSUN Taro N'Sweet Potato is very deep and thocky too)

    • @saladassery4640
      @saladassery4640 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thoccnology Niiice! I'll be so looking forward to that! I hope you can also do a short comparison with it against Vertex V1's 🙏 I've only ever seen one video comparing these switches from 19_19ASMR from his leobog hi8 video. And I found that Middle Night is ever so slightly deeper than V1 - at least for me. And I kinda want a second comparison from a different source 😁
      I hope you do it on a Leobog Hi75! I know how much you loved the V1 combo with that kit! ☺
      Edit: A little more info on these switches. I think they're literally a budget WS Morandi (as these switches have been manufactured by Haimu - and is said to make any keyboard sound "deeper"). Afaik when I looked it up, they have the same housing and stem material. Same spring stage and weight - pre and total travel and same bottoming out distance. Which is good for my broke ass cause they're really affordable. And is even $6 cheaper than the V1's from where I'm from.

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@saladassery4640 Oof, I totally feel you, I was a cheapo to buy any Morandis, well above $0.50 per piece seemed too much (especially since many of my friends told me bad experiences about those)
      But I was ever so interested in them, and I'm constantly on the search for good 'speed' switches, so that's another extra point towards them! (At least I heard that IRL the Morandis also have a shorter actuation than advertised.)
