    I love your creations! I am making gifts for friends using them. I want to make a larger shadow box but what size do I make the spacers? TIA!

    Hi Ly! Thank you for another great video! I am wondering, can’t we just use the template that you uploaded instead of copying them cutting out the corners and putting in score lines?

      @@erinfay11 yes you can. It’s the exact same thing.

      @@LyPong-ux3fuok so why do we copy and change them? I’m just confused.

      @@erinfay11 this video is for non- Cricut users showing them how to create spacers using simple shapes. I’ve had many asked about it.

    Can you not duplicate the one with the circle and contour out the circle and numbers. Put the square on your spacer, center, change the square to score and select both and attach. If that works wouldn't that be easier?

      @@cherimccain12 it might work. Give it a try.

      @@LyPong-ux3fu I actually did that and yes it works. May help others to know that in another video.

    Thank you for this video, I do not use a cricket, so it is very helpful. My question is, what is the formula for sizing the spacers, if you're doing an 8x8 for example, instead of a 5 x 5. would you use the same decimal numbers (eg. 8.65, 7.25, 7.43, 7.14, etc. etc? I find an 8 x 8 shadow box usually means the paper size has to be sized down slightly so not sure if that would change the formula. Thanks for your help in this, I hope question makes sense. As for the score lines, I would just make a square the same size as your second layer of shadow box (4.25) and change the lines to score lines, centre with the 5.65 square and group, much easier than making individual score lines or scoring manually.

      @@DebandJackVanderhoef group and center your spacers then change the size. The size inside the score lines will determine the fit. And yes you can do whatever is easiest to make your score lines. Let me know how it goes.

      @@LyPong-ux3fu Hi. I have a similar question, as I use Silhouette. I'd like to use these types of spacers on all sizes of shadowboxes, 9x9, 8x8, 6x6, etc. How do you determine the overall sizes of the spacers?

    • @LyPong-ux3fu
      @LyPong-ux3fu  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TracyB55 center and group spacers together. Then increase the size until square inside score lines fit the frame. For example, frame 8 x 8 square inside score lines should measure 7.5.

      @@LyPong-ux3fu Thanks. So the spacers themselves follow the same numbers after the decimal point? For example, a 9x9 shadowbox score lines measure 8.5 and the spacers would be 9.65, 9.25, 8.43, .814?? I really appreciate you taking the time to help me understand. 😊
