You are an amazing Adventurer and a great videographer and commentator. Absolutely love your videos. I’m loving every video of yours. You are the best!
My family and I spent some amazing time at the Umpqua River State Park. The ruby light was so beautiful. We managed to catch 10 nice crabs, some trout in a fresh water lake in the park, we topped it off with steak! I am 63, it’s on my must go back list! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
This road trip made us Canadian fans sadder the further you went away but excited to see what was next and glad ur in my home town of Prince Rupert again!!!
Thank you very much for sharing.. I have wanted to do this road trip since I was 18 or so.. unfortunately I got sick at 23 and disabled by 25 I can't stray to far from home. Makes me happy to get to travel with you...
I lived in the Seattle area and travelled down Hwy 101 and ❤️ the coast line, I loved Lincoln city, I miss it soooo much. I now reside in “Gooseland” Canada but I’ll be back to travel that again
Hey, if you haven't passed through it yet; just south of Florence there's a little town called Reedsport; Off the 101 itself a few blocks, there is a bakery called The Sugar Shack. They have some of the very best donuts in the entire world.
Just watched the video loved it seeing the swing bridge reminds me of my teenage years we lived on a farm located on the confluence of the Chehalais river and the Wynoochie Rivers there was a old abandoned swing bridge. We floated to the bridge climbed up to bridge house and discovered a treasure trove of railroad artifact's also discovered that the bridge control's still worked we found that if you did not engage the rail lock the bridge would swing in a full circle . Needless to say when we left to get back to shore we left it running it was over 24 hrs the bridge went around and around untill somebody got it stopped was only a year or 2 when the bridge was takin down. Good thing there is the statue of limitations
When flying above the "house on the train bridge", the reflection of the clouds in the water made it super cool and trippy! That was awesome! Those views, that scenery ... chef's kiss spectacular! And the house tour ... LOL, fantastic!
You are right. The house on the bridge is the bridge tenders building. They would control the turning off the bridge from there. Great video! I think your crab poachers are the ones that retrofit the liveable residence.
I love how you set up crab traps and living off of the land so to speak while you're out exploring these incredible places great job keep up the great content
I love this. A day late and a dollar short...we live 45 minutes from Lincoln city Oregon....and while perusing your channel and playing catch-up...I was so jammed to find this one..we absolutely love your video's in our neck of the woods because we plan to head your way one of these days..but its nice to see our stomping..grounds reflected Dustin Porter style...because you do it with such style ! And beauty...you the bomb!❤
Hi Dustin...I watch your channel all the time and love to see the abandon places you go. I am in Oregon and like seeing Oregon from someone else's eyes. In the last part of your video, you are at the Siuslaw river in Florence. We fish that river for Chinook salmon in the Spring and Fall. You just missed the Fall salmon run. We live in the Eugene/Springfield area, so we are only an hour away from the coast. My husband loves fishing in the bays all along the Oregon coast.
I'm a Canadian living in the Santa Cruz mountains. I love watching your videos to see the amazing places in BC that I miss. It's awesome watching you come down toward my part of the woods.
I was just in almost all of those places last month. Interesting seeing the same places through another's eyes. The building on the Siuslaw is almost certainly an old sawmill. Logs would be floated down river and milled there and then the finished timber would go out either by truck or barge. From the historic overheads it looks like it was in operation until at least 1994. If you come back through Bellingham drop me a line and I'll buy you lunch and show you some cool spots.
I’ve only ever been as far as Seattle, I would love to see Oregon one day. I absolutely love love love the beach scenes & the big crashing waves. I live in the north okanagan but I sure miss the ocean watching this video.
Ya know what? I've seen quite a few of your vids, but this one to date, is my FAVE! Love this one! Maybe it's because you're wearing traditional chucks, riding a skateboard and your hilarious, oh...you're by the ocean! Which I am missing so much!! *sighs* Your videos are therapeutic :)
Yes, it's gorgeous down there in Oregon, that bridge you captured on video, I think I was told they ran out of funds to make it work so now it's a landmark unless there's a bridge like that in BC? You got a great catch of Crab! yum! Thanks for the great footage.
We have similar roots. I lived in 100 Mile area I know some of the places you frequent. I have an adventure channel too but man you are killing it. I know life in a motor home is hard, but I also know you have a home base you don't talk much about. BrbAdventurer is my name, adventure is my game ... My adventure is in a fake Jeep known as the WJ ...
Hey Dustin, Good to see you're still doing well! Small request, would you put the song names that you use in your videos somewhere, say, the description maybe? The soundtracks are always fantastic and it turns into a whole adventure of it's own to try to find them ourselves. Cheers, amigo!
@@Destination_Adventure you're right! In the words of one Dustin Porter, "Ohhhhhhhhhhh man!" Which is what I'm sure you said when you read my comment. I admit, I should've watched till the end before commenting. Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it!
Growing up in the Sacramento area, every Thanksgiving my family and another family would drive up to Florence and stay on the beach and go to the dunes. I have wonderful memories of that place.
This video reminded me of our trip from Alberta to Oregon a couple years ago. I hope you can go sand boarding in Dunes City and eat Clam Chowder at Mo’s. Good times thanks for reminding me.
Thank you so much. Born and raised within an hour or so of there. You stopped at all the spots I always wanted to check out but near had the chance. Thank you
I watch a few different people on TH-cam as far as travel blogs go I find yours to be not quite as boring wait not boring like a lot of the other ones and you go into some really cool and interesting places that old factory was need and I would just love to see what it would look like in his Hay Day enjoying your travel South my friend good luck and keep safe leave nothing but footprints 👍✌️😁
Absolutely loved this video, it brought back so many memories for me! My husband and I toured the Oregon coast for our honeymoon 25 years ago. Just a beautiful stretch of coastline.
As you go south on 101 you will soon get to one of my childhood homes Crescent City California. When you get there, drive a few miles inland on hwy 199. There you will find an incredible dry campground called Jedidiah Smith. Trees like you have never seen. Quiet camping. I have relatives there who can give you a hand if you need anything. Crabbing off the docks should be good for crabs as well.
I live in Oregon. Been to all of the towns you stopped at. Love Lincoln City & Florence especially their casino's haha. Dungeness crab is the best crab imho but I'll take red rock too. I love grabbing in Garibaldi just north of Tillamook. I'm in Hillsboro so it's only about 1hr 15min to Garibaldi or Seaside. There is an RV park by Rockaway Beach I think it's called North Jetty Marina and they had a sign that said "Sleep with us & catch crabs!" LMAO. 😂😂😂😅 Safe travels DP. You da man! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! 😊
I'm a California man born and raised, but I have two sisters that live in the Grants pass Oregon area but I've never seen the Oregon coast, it's absolutely beautiful very similar to some of the Cali coast line like Monterey and big sur areas. Love your adventures Dustin, stay safe and enjoy your road trip.
That building looks like an airplane hanger as it is big enough. It has been over ten years since I have been near the Oregon Coast which I always enjoyed when visiting Portland. Stay Safe and Safe Traveling to You...
It's more than likely an old plywood mill . We have a lot of them abandoned here on the Oregon . Loved your hilarious tour of the old mill . I started watching you because of your awesome sense of humor .you certainly won me over !!😂
Thank you so much for all your adventures. You're a good man. It would be great to meet. I love the outdoors I love travelling. You're the best brother. Keep up the good work. God bless man
We stayed in newport this summer , it was fun to explore the old downtown with all the shops and fish processing plant. Ripleys believe it or not was cool too. Seemed to be alot of shady people on the 101 in town though. lol
Dustin, an FYI if you didn’t already know, if you’re in a town where you’re unsure if you can park in a certain spot with your large rig, you can call the local non-emergency police # and ask them. If it’s not allowed (which is rare this time of year), they’ll tell you a usually better spot to park. Also, as I figure your videos are probably a couple weeks behind your present location, if you’re down here near Ehrenberg, AZ, there’s a few of us fellow TH-camrs full-timing in our RV’s. You’re welcome to join our camp. We’ll be here till mid-March.
First off, there is no local Police force in Depot Bay, so it's only the Sherriff that patrols that area, and during the off-season like this, nobody is gonna look twice at your rig parked there. But during the summer busy season, that's another story!! It gets packed with tourists!! Then they get much tighter about patrolling these parts, as parking becomes a premium. The old mill site you stopped at just outside Florence is a local landmark, but it's been vacant for so many years that no one pays any attention to it anymore. 1 hour south is Coos Bay, which is where I call home. Nice relaxing video. Enjoy your travels
I have been to Washington, I have always wanted to see The Oregon coast. I’m on the southern part of the Maine coast…. Seems like similar climate this time of year. Safe travels brother, thanks for another great video! 💪🏼
I've pulled gear out of the water and watched as a small legal size Dungeness crawled out the escape ring. It's also possible that the doors swung open in the current. Doubt someone was in your pot.
Glad that guy gave you his catch.
Great video… that abandoned industrial site used to be a Veneer mill, for making plywood. I used to haul out of there in the 80’s.
You are an amazing Adventurer and a great videographer and commentator. Absolutely love your videos. I’m loving every video of yours. You are the best!
We like the music you pick for each video, it fits perfectly! Enjoy the landscape you show!

Don't let a disability stop you from doing your dreams. I'm getting ready to make a trip to Michigan soon. I'm disabled too.
I became disabled at 40 and I've never been more than 4 hours from home. I love these videos for the same reason
Just want to know what make is your battery power is sitting on the table .
You should say what time of year and temperature is when u do your videos.
Grew up in Tillamook, live in Eugene now, just 45 mins from Florence! Enjoy Oregon

I moved to Oregon over 40 years ago and it's still my favorite place on earth. Nice to see it showcased a bit.
thought it was interesting seeing all the marks on the dock railing and that bridge look like a good spot to toss a line in
Looks like Driftwood Beach. So pretty !

The crabbing of the coast guard dock in Winchester Bay is Epic dude!! Hope you stop 🛑
When flying above the "house on the train bridge", the reflection of the clouds in the water made it super cool and trippy! That was awesome! Those views, that scenery ... chef's kiss spectacular! And the house tour ... LOL, fantastic!
I finally watched a place that you and I have both visited. Depot Bay !! Been there and loved it. Whale watching boat rides !!
Great job. Have a great journey south
Oregon is amazing I lived here my whole life. Everytime I leave I'm home sick in a couple days. Hope riding on the dunes is awesome!
You are right. The house on the bridge is the bridge tenders building. They would control the turning off the bridge from there. Great video! I think your crab poachers are the ones that retrofit the liveable residence.
Woah! Oregon is on my bucket list of places to see, so cool you made it down there, thanks always for the super dope footage homie!!! 🔥🤟

Beautiful video , I’m so laid back and chilled watching your videos , really well done .
Try poking a few holes in a can of sardines and wire it to the inside of your crab trap. Cheap and never lose your bait.
I'm a Canadian living in the Santa Cruz mountains. I love watching your videos to see the amazing places in BC that I miss. It's awesome watching you come down toward my part of the woods.
Enjoyed this so much never been past Coos Bay live in grants pass area so go Coos bay and bandon . Thank you for sharing real pretty
Always enjoy your videos. They are like no others I watch. I was just wondering if you do diving?
Never stop posting. You take me places I never been.

You are right about it being a mill. It might have been open in 1994 but I'd swear it closed before. I recall it being a Murphy Mill.
Depoe Bay is my fav too! High tide on a stormy day those waves will go 1/2 way across the highway.
I’ve only ever been as far as Seattle, I would love to see Oregon one day. I absolutely love love love the beach scenes & the big crashing waves.
I live in the north okanagan but I sure miss the ocean watching this video.
The Beaver state is a Wonderland!
Just love watching your travels, I have been down hwy 101 but back in the mid 80's., want to take my wife on a wonderful similar trip, waiting ,,,
