I have been following the Ed channel for several years. It is not only the wonderful panels, but also the way it manages to enhance an old glory like FS9. Seeing his FS9 in action gives the often pleasure of seeing an old classic car. Bravo Ed!
The immersions is insane with photorealistic textures and I can't wait for the day this is a standard for sims, especially if this was a full 3d rendered vr Cockpit that would be god tier.
@@edetroit I assumed it _was_ a VC when I looked at it, although I was guessing you'd taken advantage of the modelling work already done by CLS for that purpose.
Enjoyed the look back to fs9. Replay was built in,if i recall? Certainly looks as good or better than MSFS. Hope the tdfi dc10 looks and flies as good as this?
Did you gather a team of developers to work on this panel? A few years back I developed my own (freeware) DC-10 panel add-on (both FS9 and FSX compatible) and I struggled to find enough free time to do it even though it was a 2D-only panel without photorealistic graphics (which are absolutely mind-blowing, unless of course you had access to a real cockpit to produce them). Incidentally, do you have versions of this panel covering all the different DC-10 variants (-10, -15, -30 and -40)?
Hello George, I had access to 5X-JOE for a couple of hours with my digicam. This 2D panel (I removed the CLS VC) is completely made by myself. I have only ever made -30 and -40 variants with differing cockpit configurations eg. Penny and Giles engine gauges. I made a concerted effort to finish this particular one and release it.

Thank you very much for your kind comment.

I have learnt to model but have not modelled a VC yet. I love all the different cockpit configurations which is much easier to do with 2D.
Absolutely, makes sense. this is amazing work, love it.@@edetroit

I've always enjoyed your videos. Your panels are masterpieces!
Thank you very much. I hope to release more but time is becoming increasingly hard to find. :(
Looks amazing, I secretly like that 2D Panel more than VCs in MSFS :b
So talented you should have been a developer I would have enjoy all your products!
But he is... :)
Good stuff, especially considering its a 20 year old sim
Great video, Ed. Always loved your Avient livery on that plane!
DAS Air Cargo is the one I want.....still not done it years later. :(
Amazing panel as always! Ever thought about making a 747 classic for aerowinx (a high fidelity 744 sim).
My own 747 classic panel is due a revamp. ;)
:) Ah ok, good luck with that!
Haven't seen your videos in my feed for years.
wow wow wow, this is beautiful! excellent work friend❤❤❤
its a perfect machine the dc10, my uncle its a ex pilot of dc10 of viasa airline jejeje
I can't believe I misunderstood the 2D cockpits back when I was playing this sim.
БОЛЬШОЕ СПАСИБО ЗА ВИДЕО, СУПЕР, УДАЧИ ВАМ

Thank you. I do not use the default replay. I use FSRecorder for replay and tower/spot views.
Beautiful panel. Really love your work.
awesome Ed, that brings back memories
Lovely video
Beautiful Ed, as usual ;) Big regards!
Great video as always Ed!

its amazing your works dude
Dk this pannel have a nav/gps swich????? So can set the autopilot on the route set in the sim.
Yes, on the glareshield. If you look just below the nav frequency you will see a switch. Up for VOR/ILS (nav), down for INS (gps)
@@edetroit thx!

as it ever was +1
i"ll pay for the a350 @70$ release it come on
As you can imagine the A350 is hugely complex. Still WIP
@@edetroit will it include BTV?
@@theattorney3986 BTV is simply auto brake at the moment. To able to select braking for a specific runway turnoff is probably above my pay grade. :)
understood. BTV seems very challenging. what sort of feature will it came with? :)@@edetroit
@@theattorney3986 Just look at my A350 videos
fs9 == wine
You know it and I know it! :)
