Roger filling in for Freddie is the sweetest thing ever. Singing when your voice/throat is telling you to stop is _painful_ so it's very kind of Roger to step in and let Freddie take a rest, especially while he's in the middle of drumming like that. And for him to focus on how Freddie sounds and being able to hear that he needs help while he's doing his own part already... it just shows how much they all truly, honestly cared for one another. And Roger didn't sound _great_ his voice wasn't made for that kind of song, but he did it anyway to help out his friend. Help that Freddie immediately accepted, as he went on to do lower harmonies which were easier. There was no jealousy on Freddie's part, either. No feeling of "why is he doing my part now?" Just gratefulness. They are one of the only bands I can confidently say was a family. P.S. anybody know which show that was?

Freddie and Roger had a similar temper. both were explosive and really cheery. whereas Brian and John were calm and modest. I think that's why they had a lot of common things like dressing up in drag for fun. they really were good friends.
They were not only best friends, they were soulmates. Always up to something, sharing the same thoughts and ambitions. They truly loved each other in a platonic way. And Roger still misses him so much, using every opportunity to share a bit of his memories of Freddie.

I love it when roger helped Freddie when he was struggling singing I was so nice they’re like family I wish I could hear queen preform especially Freddie I would love to hear is amazing vocals ❤️❤️
My favourite is 13:03 when Roger just starts Another One Bites the Dust - Freddie's face and hand gesture are wonderful. However, your caption is incorrect. Freddie said "You caught me out", not "you caught me now". I was at Wembley, I know 😁 (Edited for typo)
@@decodolly1535 He clearly said "You call me out" wich makes much more sence in the given context anyway. Please do not correct people if you are wrong.
@@trockeneiscreme7713 No, Freddie said "You caught me out". Indicating that he wasn't ready. "You call me out" - colloquial meaning: you hold me accountable for my words or actions, would make no sense at all in the context. Btw, it's which not "wich" and sense not "sence".
Deco Dolly I caught that too. I think you have to really understand English in Britain to get it. I am American but lived there for 11years. Freddy speaks really eloquently and proper. But his face was hilarious...like “Well Roger wants to start so I guess we’ll start and then just laughs it off!” Just shows that they were all so truly close. Can you imagine some of these today that happening?
@@decodolly1535 So... obviously you like to correct people. If that makes you happy, go for it but let me tell you: Most other people hate these kind of humans. Back to the topic: Considering that you are at least in your 40s, Id like to introduce you to the "change speed" button. What you need to do is set the speed to 0.25 and listen. You can thank me later.
These two are so right with each other and I feel they were much closer than the others. Freddie got a real kick out of Roger and seemed to love his humor
Now that's a friend. He just started singing so Freddie Mercury could rest his voice. Even though he wasn't making the notes Freddie wisely stopped singing and let him have it. A lot of Superstars would have tried to push through and would have gotten upset, but Freddie even being the Mega Star that he was didn't even get upset. Now those are friends and Band Mates
You know, I generally liked Bohemian Rhapsody, despite all the inaccuracies, but I still can't understand why they made Freddie and Roger look like they despised each other. Really, when I told my mum they once lived together, she looked at me in disbelief and asked how come they didn't kill each other. This is honestly one of the only things from the movie I just can't forgive. It's even more wierd concidering Roger was one of the producers. Thank you so much for making this video, it's awesome. I hope you're gonna do another part♡
I think it is from real life in a way, because Roger is known to be short-tempered and they were at each others faces (though not literally) a lot. Arguments are pretty much mandatory when you are that good friends and close to one another like Queen. Movie made it more dramatic because it is a movie. And let's not forget, when Freddie reveals he has AIDS in the movie, Roger/Ben looks so sad and is the one to say: "You're a legend Fred." They had the arguments in the movie but like in real life, they were like brothers despite all of that. Though, it annoys me too in the movie. Luckily we know the truth.
@@souplover69 I thought they all came across very close in the film. They were just always taking the piss out of eachother all the time. My best friend and I are always just insulting eachother and being ducks to eachother. None of its ever serious or genuinely malicious. I think that's just how close friendships function.
Alexia Boddington of course, and queen did fight and isulted each other, but i'm just saying somethings were very Not queen. for example the scene where freddie told them he was making a solo album. in real life they were all super suportive about their solo stuff and also freddie wasn't even the first one with a solo album, roger was. and just in general it sometimes really felt like the movie just wanted to create drama and i understand that because after all it's a movie and it's not 100% true but i know people who watched the movie who aren't really fans of queen and don't know the band and they ask me if they hate eachother. i just think they could've done a better job to portrait the relationship within queen
It's hard to believe that Freddie has been gone for 31 years but really legends don't die. Freddy is still telling Roger "C'mon Blondie" from wherever he is.
Freddie: SING, MY ANGEL OF MUSIC!

When Roger fills in for Freddie, that made my heart melt. I love their bond, it makes me so happy-
2:25 aww this was so cute and their voices fit together very good 😍❤️
THIS IS SO PURE I CAN'T
Tysm for this
6:21 *ROGER WHAT DID YOU DO* 😂😂😍
Ugh you're right they are literally friendship goals and so underrated. Would love a part 2 ❤
I love watching their bloopers & the fun they had joking around with each other when in the studio & on stage. They started out as 4 band members & during they became 4 brothers. They were such an awesome band! Freddie will be remembered for always!😀
One of the most powerful, distinctive, beautiful voices, that I ever heard in my life. His showmanship, his presence, his style, he was the ultimate Rockstar. We will love and remember you forever beloved Freddie. 11/24/22.
Their grins at each other when Freddie changes the lyrics to Tutti Tutti is adorable ♥
Best 13 minutes ever! Thank you so much for this compilation. ♡
“I had to tell Roger to go home because he was still standing there.”- 6:59 What did Roger do?😂
Freddie said "I had to tell Roger to go ON [stage] because he was still standing there'. Basically he was late going on stage.
Mike Campbell ohhhh okay! thank you
:)
He kinda sounds adorable
AshTheGachaTuber 237 always:)
I love it when roger helped Freddie when he was struggling singing I was so nice they’re like family I wish I could hear queen preform especially Freddie I would love to hear is amazing vocals ❤️❤️
roger was always and still is very protective bout freddie. the whole band were protective with each other it was a family love
they were the two with the best senses of humor....I love them! there is a reason why Roger has that giant statue of Freddie in his garden at home.
I think Freddie would think it was hilarious that Roger did that, but love that he did it just the same.
@Gacha Annoying Orange Jr. Best gig ever!
I wish i had a friendship like theirs
But sadly i dont ;-;
6:20 AHHH THE ICONIC LINE
*ROGah wHAT DID YU dÒ?*
These two are so right with each other and I feel they were much closer than the others. Freddie got a real kick out of Roger and seemed to love his humor
Roger said they would meet at sunset to have a drink when they were on tour and then go their separate ways for the night's partying, of course.
the bit where roger starts singing so freddie can rest his voice is the most wholesome bit i think
You should know Roger has a song dedicated to Freddie called "Old Friends". thumbsup
Just listened to it,and bawled My eyes out.
It's a beautiful song. You can tell he really misses Freddie.
Love how roger fills in for Fred in don’t stop me now
*_the most beautiful friendship in the world_*
I love that even back in the 70s when being gay wasn't ok, his band mates let him be who he is.
They went through thick and thin together. Their friendship was based on acceptance and respect for each other, not money and fame. So it last.
7:01- we interrupt your regularly scheduled program for this special edition of DEAKY LEGS
LOL!
5:22
Freddie: *takes Rogers maracas*
Freddie: *shakes them wildly and gives them back*
Roger: *hits freddie*
Freddie: imma head out
Now that's a friend.
Roger and Freddie’s friendship can cure my depression and clear my skin ✨
11:48 literally every stoner conversation
😆
You know, I generally liked Bohemian Rhapsody, despite all the inaccuracies, but I still can't understand why they made Freddie and Roger look like they despised each other. Really, when I told my mum they once lived together, she looked at me in disbelief and asked how come they didn't kill each other. This is honestly one of the only things from the movie I just can't forgive. It's even more wierd concidering Roger was one of the producers.
Thank you so much for making this video, it's awesome. I hope you're gonna do another part♡
Agree. . .I thought the same thing.
Luckily we know the truth.
they did them dirty in the movie, but not just roger and freddie but also queen in general, it really looked like they all hated eachother
😢
im sorry but who is freddy? i only know freddie
Their voices complimented each other. When Freddie was hoarse, he had to sing in baritone and Roger’s voice blended in nicely.❤️❤️
Honestly, filling in for someone when you can see they've become exhausted is one of the nicest things you could do as a musician :)
A soulmate doesn't always come in the form of a lover. They all had a beautiful friendship
Awwww so sweet, Roger filling in for Freddie during "Don't Stop Me Now". Also, where did you get the clip of Roger and Freddie singing "39" together?
39 live at Hyde park 1976
@@rohanr.9714 OMG THANK YOU!!! :)
Yes I agree that was so sweet. Having a freandship like that is goals
They are so close you would think that they were brothers and not just bandmates it is so lovely to see them having fun together
The moment when Roger fills in for Freddie, so he can rest his voice........ that’s not only professional, considerate and cool. That’s LOVE!❤️
13:03 was one of my favourites.. Freddie's face was hilarious 😂
2:18 Love Roger filling in for Freddie.
