As a pakistani muslim I want all the black people in the world who can read my comment to know the I as a muslim have tremendous admiration and respect for black people whether they are agnostic, christians or Muslims because throughout muslim history they have always sheltered, protected and inspired the entire ummah by their deeds some of my favorite black people from the time of the origin of Islam are, His majesty King Negus of abyssinia the generous, who sheltered muslims during the time of our beloved prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wasallim, Hazrat Bilal ibn Rabah, Hazrat Summayah bint Khabbat the mother of Ammar ibn Yasir, Walidah Mariya the coptic christian and Tariq bin Zeyad who is known to have belonged to the berbers and from recent history Malik Shabazz the brave martyr of islam and Muhammad Ali the greatest boxer ever lived!

I think it's a little weird that Afro-descendant people (especially AA's) are obsessed with Moorish and Egyptian history. Many of us don't descend from them (and if we do it's in small amounts). I think it's important to learn but we have a lot more fascinating history to learn too. We weren't always enslaved and we had powerful kingdoms before slavery that don't get enough attention.

    • @mathewvanostin7118

Its comes from AA believe that entire africa is black
If they just spend some times on google map. They will notice north africa is geographicaly more reliable to south europe then rest of continent because of hostile sahara desert
South of sahara desert this where black african are
Also roman. Greeks. French germanics persian and other did describe how moors look like. And they look like a typical italian 😆 basicaly white that tan easily with dark hairs and eyes
Its like someone thinking entire asia look like chineese. Well sure lot of them look like that. But the western part of asia its another story 😆

Yes, thank you. They are obsessed with Moors and Ancient Egyptians trying to make them black. Moors are pretty well established to be from the Maghreb (North Africa except Egypt) and they didn’t have black skin. They were more brown. Ancient Egyptians weren’t black either. But as someone pointed, it’s not actual Africans that claim this. It’s African Americans who do it, and they seemed quite cray about making everything black as they believe Africa is all black.

      STOP THIS PROPAGANDA !!!!
Moors are white Berbers Amazigh and Jews from Morocco !! black people are not moors !
Please, Hollywood, stop helping black people steal our Moroccan culture!
Every time you show a moor he is black (morgan freeman and others playing moors)this is not accurate because the moors are white skin not black !!
For example, Othello was inspired by a Moroccan ambassador who was a Amazigh Berber ,and he was not black, but white!
You can still see his painting that inspired Shakespeare for Othello in the British Museum, and find on TH-cam a video from the British museum, where you can clearly see the portrait of the Moroccan ambassador, and hear the people of the museum say that he inspired Shakespeare for Othello and many other British and European writers and painters !!
We the Moroccan Berbers AMAZIGH live with the Jews for 5400 years in Morocco, and we have never seen black people !! They came very late as slaves ,because Morocco was an empire that existed for 1300 years and is the oldest kingdom on the planet where the king still governs the country !!!

If you dont you are simply scratching the surface of a subject so deep that even Arabic speaking people do not study. I know because I've taken the time to learn Arabic and I've asked about it. Lastly, this subject need some serious students that dedicate there education to first the study of Arabic, then the study of Africa and Spain, and Spanish.

@@blackdreamhunk3413its wrong to say all the moors are black. The term moor mainly means muslims. The muslim nation is very diverse and never looked at your ethnicity, but your worth as human on what you have achieved and accomplished in life, you wont be denied a post because of your heritage in our culture 1400 years back and still. So saying moors were only black is incorrect. Moors were south and north africans and arabs. The leaders were mainly colonizers from the arab peninsula, that conquered their way to the west in the Iberian peninsula, on the way the north and south africans joined and contributed the achievements. Worth noting that the last Andalusian leader is a native arab original heritage from Medina, his tribe were the first to ally with prophet Mohammad and the descendants ruled south of Spain. So to say, the moors were a combination of arab, berber and south african people. There is no one dominating race. It is more correct to say muslims, rather than listing the heritage of the moors. For example In the middle east when we talk about Andalusia, we just say the muslims, we never say Arabs, Berbers or Africans. And the people who contributed in our school textbooks are called with their names, never their ethnicity.

If you look at the people groups in the world you will see that melanated people are the majority in ALL parts of the world and non-melanated people groups are in the minority. There is a strong reason for this---ALL MANKIND descended from Afrikans. Check out Ivan Van Sertima on youtube--Africans in Early Europe; he explains a lot.

I must say, i highly appreciate the attention to historical nuance in this video. If more people understood such nuances we would not see through lens that emphasizes the dissociation between the middle east and Africa.
If we don't then we just end up further divided just as the west planned. We must learn from history the need to unite.
I dream of a day all of Africa is united as one.
And a middle east that's united, an Asia that's united. Every continent should be a super power to balance each other.

MOROCCANS ARE TIRED OF HAVING THEIR CULTURE STOLEN BY BLACKS AND ALGERIANS !!!!!!!!!

WE THE MOROCCAN AMAZIGH ARE TIRED THAT BLACK PEOPLE AND ALGERIANS STEAL OUR CULTURE !!!!! T
THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PROOF THAT THE MOORS WERE NOT BLACK.!!! BUT THAT THE MOORS ARE BERBERS AMAZIGH AND JEWS FROM MOROCCO !!!!!

Moors are the ancient inhabitants of the western part of North Africa which includes modern Morocco and western parts of modern Algeria; the ancient kingdom of Mauretania was well-known in the ancient times and was contemporary of the kingdom of Numidia in the eastern part North Africa and Carthago and Roma.
