If your arm were cut off, chances are, you'd have to look at prosthetics since A. the bones are cut wholly through, B. the nerve damage would be irreparable, and C. The circulation of blood would be impossible to 'just reconnect'. I honestly don't expect Phil to know what a suture (medical nor anatomical) is, or how repairing the human body works. But hey! Let's bitch about waiting in a hospital some more. c:

Yeah, Phil's a dick in all ways possible, putting his woman's issues out, but it seems like most people I know don't understand why you wait so long in emergency rooms. It's called triage, and while this may seem like common sense, it's apparently not so common. Basically, the ones that are most urgent go first, and those that aren't life threatening can wait. Also in this case, I think he doesn't understand why she was brought to the ER. The mechanism of action of many psychiatric medications aren't well understood, and that can lead to potentially catastrophic consequences in an uncontrolled setting, which is probably why they kept her so long. I get it, waiting for 3 hours in an ER for just taking a pill seems excessive, but there's always a good reason. I had a buddy who was in the hospital for 2 days and I had to explain why they kept him there, rather than letting him go with advice on what to do. I understand hospitals are busy places, having worked in the medical field previously, but I wish there were better systems in place to be able to explain patient's conditions to them in plain terms. It could've alleviated much of his bitching.
