Glad you like it. I’ve done almost all my Hoyas like that. I do keep some in just the cascade style cause some Hoyas do look better just hanging. But the trellis idea really saves so much space. Plus you see the blooms better.
WOW, I didn't think of them hacks. With the hanging wire, canes to measure, etc. I use a soldering iron to make the holes in the pots. I also buy the clear pots, without the pre made ventilation holes, and use my soldering iron to make different hole sizes and patterns. The pre made orchid pots are so expensive here. As usual a educational and fabulous show. Thanks so much for answering my question. Have a fabulous day. Look forward to your next video. ❤🇬🇧
Hi Toni! Yea the Hoya hangin topiary is the best way to show them in my own opinion. It’s so easy to do and so much fun. Plus when they reach several years they look amazing. Reminds me of a Christmas tree. 🌲 The shape that is. Plant projects are fun!
This was awesome Nelson! On a few occasions I saw a Hoya that I’ve wanted but always thought that I didn’t have the space. Now I know that I do! Mahalo 🤙🏽
Yay!!!! I love to hear I encouraged plant shopping through my tutorials. Hoyas are awesome. Potting them like this will give you years of enjoyment before you need to start dividing.
🤣🤣🤣. That must have been one of your most hilarious editings. I laughed so hard, I was crying😱. On a more serious side, this “tutorial” couldn’t have come at a better time: I have had 1 Hoya for some time and I wanted to repot it and “do something with it” to make it more attractive but I didn’t know what. Well, now I know🤗. Thanks a lot😍
Glad you enjoyed it. I was actually laughing at myself so hard while editing this episode. I just went with it. Probably one of my favorite edits so far. I had a blast doing this one.
Hi Nelson. So glad to see you work with Hoyas. You did a fantastic job repotting this Hoya. I didn’t think to grow them as orchids. I have a few of them including the krimson queen and one is about to bloom which I will show that as soon as it happens. Always a pleasure to watch your channel. This is the heat I tolerate when I am in my greenhouse. 🥵 stay cool. 👍👍👏👏
Many thanks! I find that this is a really good way to display Hoyas. You can contain all those lanky vines in on topiary tower. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective. Thanks for your feedback. 🙏🏼🤗💚
Hola Nelson, you are so funny, love the commentaries You looking for a wire and you already had one done, you keep saying dirt, any ways your videos are great like always. 😅
Thanks Dulce. I’m glad you find my psychosis funny. lol! I was all over the place. But I got it done. It was 93 degrees inside the workshop. I couldn’t put the fans on.
😅moments latter @ Nelson's Ranch.... oh boy I laughed so much @ your comments talking to yourself. The Hoya is a Krimson Queen❤ thanks for sharing. The guavas are huge. Would love to make some Bahamian Guava Duff😊
I feel like I’m schizophrenic when i edit because I’m able to separate myself as me when editing. I try to perceive me as a separate person so I can edit with a professional mind and not a self conscious mind. When I see that I’m messing up or doing something out of the normal, I like to call myself out in it. I kid you not I am laughing very hard at times when I edit myself. It’s really awesome to laugh at yourself so much that it hurts sometimes. lol!!!!!😂
This is awesome video!! Love Hoya’s, such a fantastic idea. I use clear pots on everything that needs a pot. Works really well. Super excited for the next gardening video.
When ur that hot, it’s like you have 10 thumbs, you were very funny but enjoyed how you did the holes in the pot and the bending of the wires👍. Thanks for the informative video💚💚
Thank you Linda. The heat this year is nothing to play with. It’s really unbearable. It’s crazy cause on video obviously you can’t tell the temperatures, but it was an oven in there. When my fans are on is so much cooler.
I potted mine and let it take over my crape Myrtle tree so when winter comes and the leaves fall off the crape Myrtle I have a Hoya tree 🎉. If you do a cutting wrap it in Spanish moss make sure there’s air roots on the cutting and place it anywhere either against a tree you want it to drape down from. And water it occasionally until established .
That sounds awesome. I was putting them on trees but I never saw them. That’s why I started potting them again. Now I have them all in one location to enjoy their blooms. Hoyas can be addicting.
As soon as their season begin, I will do one. Thing is I don’t need to repot any yet so I have not had good material for a Paph video. I own about 10 Paphs and they’re all thriving. I would like to share some of the growing tips once they begin their bloom cycle. 👍🏼
Poor Nelson! I'm sure it felt like an oven in there. The title should be changed to Let's Have a Schvitz! LOL Im not a Hoya fan, but cool idea on how to arrange them.
I had first a micro-clover infestation in everything, then, a hideous mealy bug infestation that resisted a complete plant removal, bathing, spraying, etc, and..they just laughed. First time in my life I turned off my plant lights, stopped watering, and never looked back. Now that all my orchids and Hoyas are dessicated and dead, I’ll be removing them all to the trash..I’ve kept indoor plants for decades..never been so frustrated. The two Hoyas I threw out front refuse to die completely, I may revamp and bring them back in. One is a giant Archboldiana and the other is a small, reddish Venetian glass type flowered one.
Nelson, Aldi has plastic blade pedestal fan/remote for $19.99 it is quiet as a mouse. I think this is one of the nicest tutorials you've done for viewers. I shared this TH-cam video with my sister who is just getting into hoyas. Uh oh. 🪴
That so nice! Thank you. I had so much much editing it. Even though it was insanely hot in there without the fan on, I had a great time making the Hoya hangers. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll check out that fan at Aldi
What a fantastic idea when we have limited space.... Beautiful trellis idea🎉🎉🎉
Glad you like it. I’ve done almost all my Hoyas like that. I do keep some in just the cascade style cause some Hoyas do look better just hanging. But the trellis idea really saves so much space. Plus you see the blooms better.
Thank you, Nelson that was so awesome as always you do such a great job!! 🌸♥️👏🏼
Thank you Sabrina!🙏🏼

Glad it was helpful! The only way is up as the saying goes. Can’t wait to see your Hoya results. Happy gardening! 🧑🌾
I absolutely love this. I haven't purchased any Hoyas here because they are so sparse and lanky looking. Now I know what to do!
Thank you!
Sherrii

Oh thanks Nelson, recently purchased a Hoya and was wondering what to do with the vines. Perfect timing! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🌏🌏
Perfect!
Saludos Nelson todo muy bonito!!!❤❤❤

Oh this video came at the perfect time for me!! I did it! Just like you showed. It looks so
Good. I’m going to send you a pic!!

This video came at the right time 🎉🎉🎉 I was wandering what I was going to do with my hoyas😂. 😊thank you. Loved your video😊
I tell you this is the best way I find to show off your Hoyas. It controls all the lanky vines and contains it in one topiary.
@naturenel fantastic. I'm day - off tomorrow, so I'm going to be doing that for them🎊🎊😎 thanks again. 😁
Thanks!
Thank you Patricia. Very kind of you. 🙏🏼💚🤗

Súper idea, me encantó , muchas bendiciones
Gracias. 🙏🏼
And THAT DEAR friend, is why I add the wires BEFORE filling the pot...LOL
Absolutely! lol! That heat had me so frazzled. I couldn’t think at all. And inside the garage was like an oven. 🥵
@@naturenel I bet. This summer has been brutal
Thank you for sharing. I also collect Hoyas and I used bromeliads soils and they love it. They are growing so much. I have to send you pictures
Yes!!!! Bromeliads, hoyas, air plant, orchids, jungle cactus all do well in the same conditions.
Love your videos can you do a tutorial on phap the slippers orchids 🙏
