Re-design Yas Marina! For the love of god, we need at least a decent track for a season finale! Since money talks in F1 and we are stuck in Abu Dhabi for the foreseeable, at least make the track good 💪
i think it's a really awesome layout, and could be a very interesting gp, BUT i think safety wise they won't allow the double chicane, beacause they're coming back towards the straight (even with the proper barriers) and if something should happen you get a car at 300 km/h that could overcome the barriers and go straight into you
the only solution to improve the f1 race in paul ricard is to use the mistral straight without any chicane in the middle, this route that you proposed, in addition to not offering the safety that the stretch requires, would make the grand prix more blocked
@@justinprins2572 "Signes" is nice too ... but with the GP layout and the chicane in the middle, the cars setup have too much downforce and not enough speed to make it challenging, like it was in the 70-80's
guys, apart from that S chicane down the mainstraight thats the exact layout I currently drive a lot on simulator and its just insane fun! thanks for the video
I have to say ... I like the France GP in F1 2020 very much. It's nice and flowy in the most parts of the track. For race maybe it's not that cool but to drive it in Quali or something it's a nice to drive for me.
When I was a kid my kid brother had a grand prix game for the Spectrum. Although there were many ccircuits available the one I played !most was Paul Ricard, mainly because of the long straight ( no chicane). I will always associate the place with those days. Nowadays I get a migraine!
You know, other than that silly double hairpin on the Mistral straight (Tommo was right, should have been just a chicane) thats actually a really cool layout, very fast and flowing, I'd love to see them actually use it.
i realy like the layout! maybe turn 2 and the tripple-chicane need a little bit of a rework for a better flow. though I would switch (or rework) both left-turns of the second turn around (turns 16+17?) so that you have another overtaking spot before entering a wavey-flow section. this track looks insanely fun to race on!
The chicane on the straight wouldn't be safe irl. But I get that this is just for fun :) Personally I would have just cut it entirely and gone for the longest straight possible :)
1:49: FIA Safety Comitee: STOP, you violated the law. (insuficient runoff area for this to happen. it will be a helluva dangerous in a race tbh if someone goes straight there.)
People ten to forget that this track was never meant for Grand Prix racing after the ownership change in the late 90s. The new ownership revamped the track and converted it into a Test facility, which is why you see so many layouts. Its the fault of the FIA for including this in the calendar. Should have just gone back to Magny Cours.
I take no responsibility for that S chicane down the main straight okay.
You still managed the best lap :P
Aldas: "lets not talk about that"
You mean Tommo's Corner?
I was so scared for Aldas when he was driving ....plz Tommo take care of him
Tommo was right all along
The safety issue with the backward going chicane on the straight. Yikes.
Its only a safety issue when coming into it, but there's plenty of runoff for everything except a total brake failure to get stopped in.
@@CAAStudios if they go straight on, and someone is taking the chicane it would be a horrible accident
@@spforza6522 just throw walls along the straight like Baku or Vietnam and problem solved

@@jarren7650 full speed into a concrete barrier with nearly no runoff
Tommo’s lap genuinely impressed me, even though he had 10x more practice.
Liam knows
I mean except for the second turn and the “triple chicane”😂 the track was pretty good
CHICAN
I think if you properly design the triple chicane it could be very cool
@@emmata98 If the exit on both of the hairpin is wider i think an overtake would be possible. Instead it'd just be long beach last 2 corner on iracing
I liked the triple chicane
My problem with the triple chicane is protecting those who have finished the last corner from somebody overshooting into the path of them
Here’s some innovation: Just go back to Magny-Cours.
Apparently it's just as boring though
or just don't have a French GP
Or Dijon

Abu Dhabi needs a redo!! I reckon you guys can smash a great track out of the tripe that is Abu Dhabi!

Yo made this a series and do every gp this was hella enjoyable
1:47 Tommo basically summed up my feelings about the double hairpin chicane thing......
I don’t even know what to call it.
Never break these 3 up, Veloce have stumbled onto an absolute winner in the boys!! Not sure about the track but love the content 🙂
That chicane......... THAT WOULD MAKE ME NUTS HAHA
Track re-design ideas: Sotchi and Abu Dhabi would be nice
Aldas when will u rock the Fernando Alonso shirt mate!

Outside of the triple chicane and the wonky kerbing and track limits on turn 2 it's a good layout
I mean, Hamilton would have preferred the overtaking being less easy yesterday 😁
Im still adamant that the chicane would work, it was just not to scale on the sim 🤣
tbf, apart from that hilarious S section, the track is actually really enjoyable
They are literally Clarkson, May, and Hammond🤣🤣
Tonight on Veloce Gear. We redesign Paul Ricard, create the worst pile-up chicane in F1 history and Tommo becomes Lewis Hamilton.
@@RandomGuy37 (theme song plays)
Tommo was literally referred to as the slowest man alive. Maybe could be a captain
But Aldas is Gordon Ramsay isn't he? :D
This version is soooooooo much better, I'd love F1 to change it to this!!
if someone outbreaks themselves on the triple chicane and locks up, there will be some major t-boning. RIP health and safety
We need to see these 3 race in that layout ASAP.
I don't why everybody cuts the corner of : "Double droit du Beausset", it is nearly what defines this track and is challenging for drivers 🤷♂️
It's the only oustanding corner indeed
@@justinprins2572 "Signes" is nice too ... but with the GP layout and the chicane in the middle, the cars setup have too much downforce and not enough speed to make it challenging, like it was in the 70-80's
it sucks imo
So wait Aldas is a F1 TH-camr but didn’t know F1 cars have 8 gears 😂🤔
Something good about this layout is that the pit exit won't be coming out on the racing line
No cap this is so much better. As a frenchman it sucks having a bad home circuit.
This was a great one. We need more of this please.

I'll rather watch this video multiple times instead of the actual race 🤷🏾♂️

Can you make this layout able to be downloaded so i can test it myself?
That hairpin in the middle makes all the difference. But you need some barriers in between.
The triple hairpin reminds me of the london eprix circuit’s triple hairpin
This could belong on the How to Ruin a Racetrack series lmao
Love this idea!! I redesign them all!
When I was a kid my kid brother had a grand prix game for the Spectrum. Although there were many ccircuits available the one I played !most was Paul Ricard, mainly because of the long straight ( no chicane). I will always associate the place with those days. Nowadays I get a migraine!

How about the Valencia street circuit? Or even Indianapolis? Five configurations are available for the road course.

This trio starts to look like top gear and we all know who is who
Reversing track direction, triple chicane.... perhaps some future US circuits could hire y'all as design consultants.
Please do more of these videos!!!
Aldas owns a car? I thought he was like 14
Did you guys try taking the tight chicane as if you were doing a switch back? That was fun to watch
That looks fun to drive
What is that force feedback set to? That's ridiculously strong.
The chicane on the straight wouldn't be safe irl. But I get that this is just for fun :)
Personally I would have just cut it entirely and gone for the longest straight possible :)
I imagine this is how the top gear team discussed the top gear test track layout

I don't mind the current layout. Turns 1-2 and turns 10-11 are just awesome

1:42 ok but if just one driver locks up at the wrong time, it’s a t-bone.
Personally I love the French GP, especially driving it on the F1 games, just seems to flow from corner to corner really well!
the races are just boring
Until I saw it driven I didn’t like the triple chicane but then I fell in love with it
That's alright only issue I see with it is the chicane on the safety side of things well done you guy need to do a marina bay next

thats much better, exceot for that silly chicane🤣
Try relaying Sochi. A task so hard that no one has ever came back out of Herman Tilke’s office.
sochi is technically a street circuit
how can i make own tracks like this?
On paper the triple chicane looked horrible, but on track I liked it and thought it added character and broke up the faster sections before and after
improve albert park by moving it to mount panorama
As awesome as it would be, Bathurst is just too dangerous for F1, they'd have to ruin the track to race there.
@@TheStargov as the old aussie saying goes tell em to take a teaspoon of cement and harden up

Your Circuit Paul Ricard redesign was good except for the long straight, instead of the ''S Chicane'', just do it straight along it.
Now i want this mod
Tommo on 🔥🔥🔥
Abu Dhabi definitely needs a redesign
30 seconds in and you are desperate to have a turn 1 for "carnage" because it's fun and makes you laugh. that describes what you are.
Abu Dhabi next?
Can you do this for Abu Dabi
Actually, it's looks interesting, and decent, apart from the triple chicane😄
And next track maybe Abu Dhabi?
This has been more exciting than the French GP will be 😂
