I just wish ELAC made a more capable 3-way series that won't compress so much in medium to large rooms for HT. Even the Unifi Reference suffer from major compression/distortion beyond 86db(in a medium/large room). If Elac addressed the issue i suppose they would be as expensive as the KEF R3(which measure significantly better at reference volumes) but it would be nice to have some direct competition.
I have the unifi 2.0 speakers for my bed layer with the towers up front. I couldn't hear that resonance but the distortion graph did show a spike around that 585hz mark that Amir and Joe had pointed out. Its a 2nd order distortion peak that helps mask it guess? Also, it was only on one speaker, so quality control may have been a factor. Either way, i dont turn it all the way up, usually have it around -15db.
I've never understood the idea of nice binding posts or magnetic grills. Similar to my pc hobby there are those who care about the look of computer parts and have a glass case to view them, I could care less. Also, with cars it looks nice to see a clean engine with no dirt or grease but I could care less.
If you prefer to have the speaker grills off, a magnetic grill means there's no holes and it looks better. Nice binding posts just make the speaker feel more expensive compared to cheap ones. It's just about look and feel of the product itself. I hate to be that guy, but the phrase is "I couldn't care less."

I recently bought the 2.0 (used) for kitchen duty and I love them. Can’t get the problem they supposedly had with one song to happen.
