Traffic has multiple effects on the growth of Indian cities:- 1. Cities are the main revenue generators of Indian economy. Despite its economic importance underlined in various reports over the years its infrastructure is inadequate. Traffic has a multiplier effect on it. Cost of logistics shoot up because of this. There is a loss of 13 per cent of the GDP in india on logistics. This is more than USA and China. More cost of logistics means business has to bear more costs on each shipment. Their productivity decreases, time increases and clients are hit. This roadblock prompts entrepreneurs to set up business elsewhere thereby losing critically important investment. Our government has launched a policy to tackle this issue. 2. It is directly linked to connectivity. Connectivity is the main purpose behind any mode of transport. Our urban-rural connectivity is in shambles thus eliminating the possibility of trade and economic possibilities that can come to fruition. Businesses can get cheap labour from rural areas. People from rural areas can get employment as well as possibility of businesses getting set up there. 3. Traffic also acts as a barrier to government revenue. People tend to bypass these overcrowded paths to save time leading to loss of revenue. Development of road infrastructure and its condition can lead to the opening of more tolls on each roads thus increasing government revenue which in turn can be pumped to install more traffic lights, traffic personnel on contract and awareness campaign against unruly traffic behaviour.
Here are some of the ways in which India's traffic problem is killing its economy: Lost productivity: Traffic congestion can lead to significant delays for commuters and businesses. This can lead to lost productivity, as people are unable to get to work or appointments on time. According to a study by the World Bank, traffic congestion in India costs the country $30 billion per year in lost productivity. Fuel consumption: Traffic congestion also leads to increased fuel consumption. This is because cars have to spend more time idling in traffic, which burns more fuel. According to the Indian government, traffic congestion in India costs the country $10 billion per year in increased fuel consumption. Emissions: Traffic congestion also contributes to air pollution. This is because cars emit pollutants when they are idling in traffic. According to the World Health Organization, air pollution in India is responsible for 1.2 million deaths each year. Traffic accidents: Traffic congestion also increases the risk of traffic accidents. This is because drivers are more likely to make mistakes when they are stressed or impatient. According to the Indian government, traffic accidents in India cost the country $5 billion per year in healthcare costs and lost productivity.

Tier 3 cities are worse than Tier 1
Zada zaruri hai online complain karne ka tarika banana hoga taki koi bhi aam admi ye sab complain kar sake aur police iska turant karbai Kare.. Kaha kaunsi dukanwale ki wajah se road par bhir ya mela lag rha hai.. Kaunsa gari bina parking ke hi road par hai.. Ye sab complain koi bhi educated admi complain kar sakta hai.. Akhirkar ye public property hai
It is not a road that makes congestion, cars with only one person makes traffic.
aapne toh mujhe gyan ki prapti karwa di
ye batao aap SUV's wagera hava mai udti hai or wo pani pe chati hai coz yaha pe sirf traffic he nahi pollution bhi concern hai
Public transport na hona hi main Karan hai
About the parking lot problem why doesn't the government build the building where it's needed? And get the revenue from parking tickets at a low price?
Public transport ka use na karna use nahi karna because of no regulations on Public transportation 😑

I always ask myself: Y BJP IS NOT SUPPORTING ANTI-NATALISM? Or at least they should do something about the population explosion 😢.
Higher population attracts companies as it provieds cheap and higher labour
@@kartikayeprasad2537 Wait for some more years and there will be a food shortage in the country.
@@dhruvshukla2389 no! India is mostly an aggregarian economy that Is self sufficient in food unlike China that has to import food
@@kartikayeprasad2537 Sorry. U r right. I forgot about this 🤦. But i m sure having a large population must come with its dire consequences.
@@kartikayeprasad2537 Food grows through magic? It also needs water and India is a water deficit country. Already ground water levels are going down throughout the country. Don't know for how much longer we can keep up with self sufficiency
Main prblm is massive migration from smaller cities these days in tier 1 Cities Due to better employment and education facilities availablity , so higher population migration faced by Tier 1 Cities due to that higher traffic congestion citizens faced daily .. govt of india must optimize their mindset in such a Array to , must try to planned top 100 cities of India , so v reduce and decline the extra burden of tier 1 Cities , and balancing robust population of theses Cities abd in thus way India counterenormous growth equally at all states with planed industrialized counter magnetic location development programme should bbe launched
