Snake pit front row experience - Metallica Chicago 2024

First time at the Snake Pit and we managed to get a good spot on the first row on the lower level of the stage. Good thing is that you can get really close to the band and get great pictures for the 3-4 songs that they play on that side. Another positive thing is that usually you are surrounded by great fans and they know all the songs. On the negative side is more than half of the show happens on a different side, you are still close to feel the show but if you are not that tall probably you can’t see that much. Also you need to be aware that the monitors on the flor can change the sound depending if James or Kirk are close. As any good spot standing, nobody will save your spot and you will see a couple of “wise” persons trying to sneak out for your place, so you need to be aware of that.
Overall of course it is a great experience, you will feel the band really close and will notice even if they miss a note or when they are having fun playing a specific part.
