BABY MONS7ER ALBUM with 401k sales in one week is the best-selling DEBUT kpop album in history, and SHEESH with 24.4 million views in 24 hours is the debut kpop song with the most views on TH-cam in 24 hours.
Babymonster's Last Evaluation is not really survival show like YG Boys have (Win, Mix Match or Treasure Box). It was really their last evaluations. In some of the video you can see some girls being blurred, they are the other trainees that can not debut. The debut members already decided before they edit the videos and and upload it only to show the ones who debut. YG girls never really have a survival shows, but their internal monthly evalution is already too scary. They might have 20 or more trainees before decided for these 7 girls. Same as Treasure, they had 29 trainees in the show.
How can he help but shout when it comes to excitement for BABYMONS7ER! I was completely blown away by this! My expectations were exceeded after watching the teasers! I’m 100% in too! So creative, so original, so captivating, just so good! Notice the two cochlea (spiral ear canals) on the walls behind rapping Ahyeon and Ruka, and also that they “rev” the two dirt bikes on the side walls during Asa’s amazing rap! Not 5 (YG’s 1st announced members), not 7 (members), but 10 out of 10 (score/flex)! “Boom boom pow”…Black Eyed Peas perchance? “Rum pum pum pum” à la f(x)? They ARE on a roll…Rolls-Royce Ghost that is! They all slayed! OT7👍 Great reaction, amazing indeed! 🔥👍🔥👍 ❤❤❤ ❤ ❤❤❤
Love your reactions! They have a lot of pre-debut contents. I would recommend starting with their individual live performance (Black and White). These are super short. Then if you're still interested, continue with their individual Introductions where you can she their progression from when they first join YG till debut (Their training period varied from almost 5 years to 2 years. Definitely worth checking out. And finally there's the Last Evaluation series. This is a great show. You can see how their monthly evaluation works and see how these girls work with each other. Some call this a Survival Show but it's far from it. Most survival shows have new contestants competing with one another, but these girls have already been training together for as 2-5 years. Over the years YG have slowly narrowed down to these seven girls. So the show was to narrow down this group even further...but I guess you already know the outcome. Some of the clips you see from their Pre-debut song, Dream were taken from the show and Introductions. Personally, I love the show and I've pretty much watched every single reactions to it and I still love the show. Anyways, these are my $0.02. I look forward to reacting to more of your content.
Great reaction. Those raps, man. And ofc the vocals......... On the minialbum there are some B-sides as well, if you want to check them out: The intro song "Monsters", the B-side "Like That", 7-member versions of "Batter Up" and "Stuck in the Middle", "Dream" and a remix of "Stuck in the Middle". Monsters, Like That and Dream are probably the ones worth doing. If you want to get to know them, the easy thing to do is probably to watch the introduction videos on their channel (they each have one). The videos are about 10 minutes each. To make it easier for you: Chiquita: 3:04 Rora: 3:11 Rami: 3:47 Pharita: 3:54 Ruka: 4:29 Ahyeon: 5:07 Asa: 5:25
It isn't a survival show per Se, as the trainees have been there for several trainees (shortest is 1 yr 9 mth) and they have picked the cream of the crop to see if they can make it. Last Evaluation is an absolute must watch to know these girls closely and also to know how the kpop system goes behind the scene.
@@DBM1234-d1f The info I gave was when YG mentioned during their debut announcement. I guess by that time the video was shot until they debut on 1 Apr 2024, the years that you mentioned (as in a radio show) is spot on.

All but one of theses girls are 18 and under two are 15 and two are 16 years old ..especially Chiquita [the blonde in the video}shes only turned 15 years old two months ago .The talent is scary and they will only get better
YG groups are really bad ass.... But with this one I cant unsee Blackpink in it...especially the last part. I think it reminded me a bit of Shut down but either way the song is a banger.
The LAST EVALUATION is not exactly a survival show. The one thing about the K-pop industry is that while you are a trainee, you go through evaluations on a monthly basis (Well we know for sure in YG's case) where if you don't show improvement then you can be cut from the project. There are introduction videos to each of the members as well that shows their journey up to the point of the LAST EVALUATION. But what the LAST EVALUATION is more like their journey to becoming BABYMONSTER and their final two months of evaluations. In the member introductions when they show the girls you will notice that there are some girls that are blurred out which are the trainees that didn't make it to the final cut of the group. We know that at least in 2021 that there were 10 trainees in the BAEMON (BABYMONSTER) Project. They were cut before the recording of the LAST EVALUATION series but I think that YG (Yang Hyun Suk) did have in mind that he wanted a girl group about the same size as BLACKPINK but when you watch the LAST EVALUATION then you will see why there was no way possible that he could make a 4 or 5 member group from these trainees and not take the rest. Just keep in mind that they had an ulterior motive when recording the LAST EVALUATION in order to use it as a marketing tool but it does show some insight to how YG goes through their training process and pick their members for their groups.
The last evaluation is not sad. It's a great show. It's more about how they came to be than a survival show. It's the 7 members only. Non of them get kicked out at any point. Sure, they add the drama that someone will be kicked out, but as we all know now, all 7 are in. I think they added that to give the audience more engagement with the members and it worked :) It's a very cute show and you get to know each members personality better. Worth watching if you like Babymoster.
It is not really a survival show, but an evalution. There are 8 episodes of about 30 mins each. Worthwhile watching and you will get views. But first it will be worth your while to watch their 7 original individual performances in black and white...they are only short, so you can easily fit them in 1 reaction, oh and there is a 1 minute dance performance in black and white that comes with them. They are to be found over on the yg entertainment yt channel. And if you want the full context of their beginning you could add in the original yg announcement called Next Movement, which is very short to. This is the place to start.
Copyright fears ruin all reaction videos. No need to stop the video 80 times, seriously, it's stressful.... There are TH-camrs with 1 million subscribers who never stop the video or very little.
Respectfully, I kinda see things the opposite from you. The ones with millions of subscribers sometimes don't pause as much bc they've done so many kpop MVs already that they are just going through the motions, cranking out another video with minimum effort as fast as they can whereas the ones who pause more, it's more likely they are genuinely so into it that they stop to actually appreciate certain parts and think about what's happening in the song or video.
