If you can crush the game on 700% with a map with THIS bad of a start, I have no excuses to lose on most maps at all. Back to work for me ! Amazing gameplay !
I'm not sure why I'm here because I don't play and probably never will, but i feel like I could do decently because of how well you explain what you're doing and why.
I can attest to that. Watched him for quite some time before even buying the game and did very well all in all. Lost very few times so far, though obviously i haven't gone for the highest difficulty
yeah 95% of the skill in this game comes with decision making, the other 5% are no pause micro (which is entirely optional) You basically cannot lose if you follow some simple rules (scratch posts, tech priority, noise management) and then the only challenge is getting a new high score. Personally I do a 100 day run every now and then on peaceful lowlands, build up like 20k+ colonists and have my HQ be super fortified and defended, then let it the colony be overrun and just defend the HQ :P Ultimately this game is a needlessly-ironman sim city with some rts elements... in a 3 hour run you will be spending 2.5 hours building houses/farms/windmills
@@synka5922 You do have to understand how you're going to adapt to the map's starting conditions. It's not a one-size-fits-all strategy, which is what gives the game a good amount of replay value.
Can someone explain the logic behind upgrading tents to cottages (and cottages to stone houses) before you are even close to filling up the entire area with housing? As of my knowledge, tents are much more cost effective and as long as you can build new ones, it is preferable to do so. Is it to prevent flooding resources (wood and stone)?
I feel like you took way too long to research Advanced Mills. You researched Advanced Quarries and didn't even use them until way later. Is there a reason i'm missing as to why you didn't research that first instead of the quarries?
hmmm feel like early on it would have been nice to build the hunters cottage near the smaller forest too would have been like +5 or +6 food with teh grass near it and you deifnitely had teh spare money to build it and profit off teh extra tent or 2 early
My guess is not as efficient as fishing, theres definitely a reason he chose not to as he hovers with the building plan for the hunters at like 2:15. Especially if he places a farm there eventually it would cover a farm tile and basically only net like +2 food

@@bigzigtv706 he cna do both fishing and the hunters cottage and it can be placed in such a way that it doesnt interfere with teh farm at all
@@bigzigtv706 Frozen Highlands maps have +20% bonus to fishing so they take priority over hunting ;)
@@bunkermanbunkerman9724pportunity cost. Also it all worked out in the end! No need to fret over a hunter cottage
Awesome!!!
