This has been in the making for over 20 years now with the passing of a sales tax increase in 2000. The increase was then implemented in 2006 and construction finally started in 2012. As a lifelong resident here, I am VERY much excited to have a close option to go all over the Bay Area. Growing up, my family and I had to drive up to the Fremont Station to go to sporting events or just to SF. Now, we can just walk to this location for a weekend getaway to SF or anywhere in the Bay.
