Thank you so much.... I truly appreciate your help sir. I do not know how I messed it up. I opened the laptop to check for memory slots with my own eyes and thought I broke it. You are a lifesaver.... I also agree that your instructions were to the point. Much appreciated..James
You explain well and your video (view of computer screen) is good. Unfortunately, I can't get this laptop fixed. I have a Getac (Model S410 Series). I only got as far as getting into the "Boot Manager". It does not have many options on the screen. It only shows: Boot Option Menu Legacy BEV IBA CL Slot OOFE v0113 (it appears this is the option it is currently on as this lettering/numbers are in white. Legacy BEV and Legacy CD ROM are black lettering and the rest are blue, not sure if this helps to know!) Legacy CD ROM Slimtype DVD A DU8AESH (Followed by up and down arros to change option, Enter to slect an option, ESC to exit) That's it. Any ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
I recommend you use the arrow key to select the Legacy BEV - which stands for Boot Entry Vector(BEV). If you can choose the Legacy BEV and save, this should change your boot sequence. Try this and confirm if it worked for you.
Hardware manufactural set up their BIOS differently, all you need to do is to navigate the BIOS of your PC/Laptop. The same concept applies to any hardware. Thanks for the feedback.

It is likely the hard drive has bad sector, but I don't want to conclude. I would advise you do a workaround and also check if the keys on the keyboard are not pressed down.

Do you know why this happen again after I turned off the laptop? ( I fixed it with your method but when I try to open in it has the same issue.)
You want to save the boot list as Legacy or UEFI. Before you restart. Let me know if that helps
thank bro
You are welcome
Спасибо брат за хороший понятный гайд! Все помогло лучший!
You are welcome. Translate Пожалуйста.
Mine uefi is not showing anything and after clicking apply nothing happened. 🤷
You can first switch to legacy only then apply and go back and try out the UEFI. Let me know if this works for you.
This does not work on Lenovo
