I for one would love to see more Pinta's Quest style game interaction. Hadn't really thought of Android watches being a good medium but they do really make sense.
You miss 1 important feature. Please let us reach WHQD Area and decent HW. A feature i was hoping for switch1 was already put a second Tegra Chip in the Docking Station and use a Thunderbolt connection for communication. is it perfect? hell no, but Switch -> External Tegra -> Display would be good enough to split the reader, calculation work to reach better Resolutions and Framerates. The external Tegra could run on higher clock speeds and have better cooling. (it is also not so expensive as people might think)
Yeah a dock with its own chip was an idea I was brewing for awhile myself, it's definitely a route they can go to try and compete with playstation and xbox more directly (bolsters 3rd party support at minimum I was thinking). There could even be 2 versions; one where you just get the switch 2 and a basic dock, and in the other more pricy version ($500+) you get the Switch 2 and the eGPU dock. With DLSS surely coming as well thanks with Nintendo's continued partnership with NVIDIA, combined with an eGPU type of dock...that can let Nintendo start having games like Cyberpunk 2077 be very playable and impressive, while still having a cheap alternative
Speaking of the Wii U, I just got "Silver Falls: White Inside Its Umbra" and downloaded it on my modded Wii U. Seeing the year 2022 in the legal notice within the digital manual was pretty cool. I didn't know your game existed before the eshop shut down but luckily I can still play it.
Woohoo!!! I'm so glad you were able to get the game ;) ;) I hope you enjoy. There is a ton of content in the game with some glitches in the Frontier Fighter mode that prevent the last 2 stages from being played in each difficulty setting, but you can still enjoy a ton of gameplay. Feel free to hang out at the discord if you need help at any point with the game.
Its a great time for nintendo fans. My ps5 had a four year gap between demon souls and astrobot without being used. If nintendo left the industry, I think i would just leave as well. Without them it feels like the whole industry would be beyong saving. They really do keep people in check
Man the wearable watch sounds like a great idea but I can definitely see the wearable aspect as an entry barrier, the games will need to go viral for it to sell crazy numbers, since you said you wanted to keep it affordable it may do really well even if the general audience finds the games not to be that good, I really hope you can release it with several games on it, good luck with your endeavors, I'm looking forward the watch release c:
I appreciate that! Something like this would be quite niche and it likely wouldn't sell huge numbers, but the whole point of it would be to make something exciting and new for gamers.
Yeah that's exactly what I want the Switch2 to be. Then we could get 3ds and WiiU games, but also brand new games taking advantage of the hardwares possibilities. It also means that your WiiU game "Silver Falls: White Inside It's Umbra" can finally reach the audience it deserves. It was released so close to the end of the WiiU eShop that only a handful of people who knew it was coming were able to buy and download it in time. Imo "Silver Falls White Inside it's Umbra" is the most impressive and creative game of the series. I have NO DOUBT that ppl would love it...If they just had access to the game
I will now only think of it as the Swütch, even when the name is revealed. I love your watch idea. That would be a great way to promote taking a break from the tv and getting out to get some exercise, or even getting some progress on your game at work. A whole other part to the game that can only be accessed away from the tv. Using it as a map for the game would be nice too. I always get annoyed clicking out of the game to access a map. If it was on the watch, you could just look down quick and keep playing.
Here's a free idea for your platform: Give users the opportunity to save locations with different tags and the games will use locations with different tags as triggers for ingame content. For example, you could save your gym as "The Front" and then have heartrate data in that location contribute to an ingame goal.
That's a very cool idea. The current use of location allows players to set a "home base" and certain other satellite locations like work and school so players can access different features. I've been trying to implement heart rate monitoring for gameplay but have hit some technical snags so far.
Another DS be nice, but I did not think about having the 2nd screen on a bracelet until this video, that could work out very well actually and have a lot of cool elements you can do with that. It would just be synced up to the main console unit. The reason this be cool is because not only you can do everything a DS/3DS can do still, but could have cool elements where you can pretend you are Samus / MegaMan with an arm cannon! And much more you can do with it as well..
Yeah, you get the idea! Just have a small menu in your watch helps you feel immersed, like you are the character. A Mega Man or Samus themed control menu to switch weapons would just be cool and fun.
@@sungrandstudios More like, that is how you aim and shoot is by holding your arm like you are a Samus. Do it by probably something like you put joy-con by wrist screen to charge up, when you move joy-con away it fires the gun.
Your idea for your in house gaming platform is very fascinating, I hope you have patented your ideas, I fear someone will try and take your ideas and use them. I wish you the very best luck on your venture! Your are a true inventor and creator!
Thanks for the well wishes. You know, if someone can take my idea and execute better, and reach more people with more resources, I would be happy to see that. No hard feelings here. I just want to see cool things for people.
Lookin at recent Nintendo naming its probably gonna be the Switch Plus. I only wish for better ergonomics and backwardscompatibility. A full stylus would be cool as well.
You know, I'm kind of glad there was never a Wii 2, or "Wii Wii". The 8 year old in me, however, is less gald and more disappointed 😂 Swütch, all the way! And I'll be fully upset if all your suggestions aren't included in at least the Swütch Pro Plus Max Pro version.
@SENATORPAIN1 And if there's ever SENATORPAIN2, it will be called SENATORHASTOKILLTHEJOKEWITHFACTSINSTEADOFGIGGLINGATWIIWII. I mean, come on man and/or lady. Wii Wii!
A new take on Augmented Reality gaming? Seems neat, all these 'GO' games that use the real world as a game map are neat too but they tend to lack on the actual gameplay part when it's just a glorified GPS really. Though how would you consider implementing whatever resources you'd collect during your day, would it use some algorithms and Google Street feed to create materials in various locations or would it be more of a color or/and movement related generation for ares that are far less crowded, small towns tend to have issues with Poke Go for instance being nearly barren or straight up dead. Would it also have a 'Streetpass' like function where if you go near someone else with yours it lets you know you saw someone, then let you swap information or negotiate information deals such as where some resources are and it'd let the other person learn of new places to visit for gameplay benefits?
I would love a Steetpass feature, but that isn't something that would be feasible at a small scale. It works when a big company can distribute massive amounts of these devices. I have conducted some experiments with using GPS and created "points of interest" for resource gathering and have not yet decided in the optional delivery method. My priority is to take into account people's lifestyle, safety, and cultural factors. It may be best to avoid the Pokémon GO method of manually created waypoints around the world, which would not be feasible for me, and base the resource gathering more in general physical activity. I don't want to send people out into the middle of a busy street or a rushing river.
I'm not, my hair is just as majestic. I've noticed lots of men have long hair recently but it's not like we all knew it was going to be in-vogue at the same time.
@@syko2164Men used to have long hair everywhere in the world. It's just the influence of ancient Rome (and then Christianity, for some reason) that made short hair "normal"or "default" for men.
Currently delta on the iPhone can stream the top ds screen to an Apple TV. It has a small amount of lag, but I’m sure Nintendo could incorporate some sort of stream accelerating hardware like the Wii U had
I cannot agree more on the eshop. It's slow load time, and complete lack of organization makes it a chore to shop on there. I'm not very fond of Sony or Xbox's store fronts either. I would love to see a store front copy a browser style format, where you can open tabs. Keep a game's page that you are kind of thinking about open in the background, so you may continue looking at the long "on sale" list without losing where the game went and having to scroll back up to find it in the slow loading mess.
The only way I would accept a return to dual screen games is if it is 100% optional. No games where it is a mandatory feature to play. I had a Wii U and it was not a good idea for a home console. It worked for DS/3DS because the screens were right next to each other. No one plays a home console while holding their controller up so it is in view at the same time as the TV. Looking away from the TV down to the controller was completely immersion breaking. Not to mention, a normal game controller will always be more comfortable than something with a big screen on it.
You are right. Unfortunately we have somewhat abandoned this technology for some reason. If a company were to expend some R&D resources, I have no doubt they could improve that latency.
Hall effect joysticks are a must. I have four (4!!) Joycons with stick drift so bad that they aren't useable. The reamaining joy cons all show *some* stick drift but are still useable. Even the Pro Controller has drift. If the Swütch doesn't have Hall effect joysticks I might just internally add the cost of a couple additional joysticks to the price when deciding if I want to get one or not.
I too have a couple joy cons with drift. I leave them on my desk so I can glare at them with disdain from time to time. Let's hope Swütch gets it right!
just watched one of your character desgin break downs. I'm not sure if you do request but could you do zzz (Zenless Zone Zero) Character design break down. I feel like they're interesting or aesthetically pleasing for someone with an eye out for stuff like that.
Thank you for the request! I do have that in my radar and am prioritising based on how many requests I get for the games. I'll definitely cover that one in the future.
My wishlist for the Switch 2 is: 1. WVD, so the Switch 2 can stream to the dock (that'll be connected to the TV) for that sweet Wii U gamepad experience; 2. Two screens on the device for the DS experience (maybe even 3D); 3. IR Camera on the top of the Joy Con for the Wii pointer That would essentially fuse all of Nintendo's past hardware (except the Virtual Boy) into one! Imagine playing Metroid Prime 4 Beyond with the Joy Cons acting as the pointer device and not the gyro they used on the Remastered version, and all Zelda games with an option to use the second screen for map and item management! And even home console Fire Emblem with the benefit of two screens! PIKMIN GAMES WITH POINTER, DUAL STICKS AND SECOND SCREEN FOR MAP!!!
Unfortunately Wireless video casting has huge delay. You can try it right now with windows wireless desktop casting to your tv and move the mouse cursor. 🤣 Also it depends on receiving TV to be performant enough for such feature.
On various Android devices I've tested, the latency is significantly better than on windows/PC. There is certainly room for further improvement with the technology.
I like the idea with the watch. But maybe instead of it being a wearable maybe it could be something that could be like a tamagotchi device that clips on to a bag or belt loop.
Not likely, at least on base, because iirc no one else does on base, not even the DualSense (because Xbox Series has basically the same controller as previous gen). Maybe it will be on the pro controller.
Well it is Nintendo and they love to nickle and dime with the most petty of things. So odds are it won't have it, even if it only costs Nintendo a few extra dollars per unit.
I like SwUtch, the most important feature for me is simply backwards compatibility, I just want to run most of my current backlog at a higher resolution and fps. And I totally agree we definitely need upgraded analog sticks😅
It's refreshing to see a dev honestly excited about the creative possibilities of gaming, we need these renaissance men of today to lead companies instead of virtue signaling politicians.
I don't really have any high expectations for Switch 2. As long as it has almost full backwards compatibility with Switch games (barring maybe the games that use peripherical and gimmicks that will probably be omitted like the IR camera) I would like it to have better ergonomics in the joycons since the current joycons with their flat back really isn't comfortable. I recently got a Steam Deck and it's way more comfortable than Switch, despite being much bigger and heavier, due to the more ergonomic design.
Hall effect joysticks built into the base kit of the switch would be awesome. I know there are some companies that already make hall effect controllers, but I’d rather get them from Nintendo themselves than from a 3rd party

Yeah, it'd be fantastic to see ports of DS, 3DS, and Wii U games!
Ah, nice.
I could not agree more. And your watch idea is sick 👌🏻
Its a great time for nintendo fans. My ps5 had a four year gap between demon souls and astrobot without being used. If nintendo left the industry, I think i would just leave as well. Without them it feels like the whole industry would be beyong saving. They really do keep people in check
Damn straight! I've got Xbox One, PS5, and Switch.. Switch gets used twice as much as the other two combined. Better games, end of story..
2:42 think broader, not just easy WiiU ports, but 3DS ports, we could play 'Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure' again
Yes! Good thinking. Let's get DS games too.
Hey Jason! Great to see you. I just hope the Swütch has something very exciting in store for us.
Swtwooch sounds like something you should keep in the bedroom :D
I just want Sekiro, DS3 and Elden Ring on Switch 2
I will now only think of it as the Swütch, even when the name is revealed.
I love your watch idea. That would be a great way to promote taking a break from the tv and getting out to get some exercise, or even getting some progress on your game at work. A whole other part to the game that can only be accessed away from the tv. Using it as a map for the game would be nice too. I always get annoyed clicking out of the game to access a map. If it was on the watch, you could just look down quick and keep playing.
Dude you are amazing, your console sounds insane. I really hope you patented this already before revealing it to us!
Here's a free idea for your platform:
Give users the opportunity to save locations with different tags and the games will use locations with different tags as triggers for ingame content.
Do it by probably something like you put joy-con by wrist screen to charge up, when you move joy-con away it fires the gun.
thank you for your thoughts, fellow human and developer
How do you do, fellow human?
Your idea for your in house gaming platform is very fascinating, I hope you have patented your ideas, I fear someone will try and take your ideas and use them. I wish you the very best luck on your venture! Your are a true inventor and creator!
Thanks for the well wishes. You know, if someone can take my idea and execute better, and reach more people with more resources, I would be happy to see that. No hard feelings here. I just want to see cool things for people.
Wireless video docking is what I’ve been pitching since the Switch came out. Ports of both Wii U and DS games would be epic.
Playing DS games was so great on the Wii U!
Love your takes and ideas
Lookin at recent Nintendo naming its probably gonna be the Switch Plus. I only wish for better ergonomics and backwardscompatibility. A full stylus would be cool as well.
You have quite the mug collection.
I want my mugs to be the very best, like no one ever was.
@@sungrandstudios Gotta catch them all
The Batman one made me laugh hard.
I think it will be called Switch 2 - Electric Boogaloo
I'll support whatever project you work on.
I appreciate that. I'll do my best and won't let you down.
Okay now the "Wii Wii" is just fantastic. Thank you for giving me this name that I won't be able to get out of my head the next time I see a Wii logo.
But there was it was called the Wii u
@SENATORPAIN1 And if there's ever SENATORPAIN2, it will be called SENATORHASTOKILLTHEJOKEWITHFACTSINSTEADOFGIGGLINGATWIIWII. I mean, come on man and/or lady. Wii Wii!
@@myfavoriteviewer306 are you asking me out?
@SENATORPAIN1 Well, I'm not saying yes, but what you doing later?
New Nintendo Switch XL Galaxy Edition
The word "new" is a marketing disaster. "Galaxy edition" however is something people absolutely understand!
I, for one, welcome our new sungrandstudios overlords
I, for one, always welcome a tasteful Simpsons reference.
Sungrad: Titles the video about the swütch
Me: “Shit who cares I want his new game bro!”
Hahaha thanks!
That wrist-held console watch... That just makes me think of the world's best Tamagotchi game lmao.
I was a huge fan of virtual pets when I was growing up.
@@sungrandstudios you reckon it'd be possible to make those games work on it? It'd be a great product!
Dude your videos are 🔥
A new take on Augmented Reality gaming?
I don't want to send people out into the middle of a busy street or a rushing river.
keep up the good work, man
I'm jealous of your hair.
I'm not, my hair is just as majestic. I've noticed lots of men have long hair recently but it's not like we all knew it was going to be in-vogue at the same time.
@@syko2164 Hundredth Monkey Effect: Enough guys had the idea that the concept got yeeted into the collective consciousness. ;)
@@syko2164Men used to have long hair everywhere in the world. It's just the influence of ancient Rome (and then Christianity, for some reason) that made short hair "normal"or "default" for men.
I personally want the switch 2 to bring back the charm and personality from the 3ds and wii u. As someone who grew up with that it means a lot to me.
another possibility : "Super Switch" aka S.S, like NES to SNES (Super Nintendo)
I like the Super Switch name!
Does it come with dual lightning bolts logo on the back?
Currently delta on the iPhone can stream the top ds screen to an Apple TV. It has a small amount of lag, but I’m sure Nintendo could incorporate some sort of stream accelerating hardware like the Wii U had
Nice. The Wii U had very fast streaming.
*The Swütch* 😆You are fantastic.
Swütch gang let's go!
Good points. I really like the Wii U for DS games.
wouldn´t a wireless video connection add noticeable latency between your input and what happens on screen?
You are right. Unfortunately we have somewhat abandoned this technology for some reason. If a company were to expend some R&D resources, I have no doubt they could improve that latency.
@@sungrandstudios agreed. i´d love less cable clutter.
WiiU's Affordable Space Adventures was one of the best multiplayer games I have ever experienced
just watched one of your character desgin break downs.
@@sungrandstudios awesone
I 2nd this comment :)
My wishlist for the Switch 2 is:
1. WVD, so the Switch 2 can stream to the dock (that'll be connected to the TV) for that sweet Wii U gamepad experience;
2. Two screens on the device for the DS experience (maybe even 3D);
3. IR Camera on the top of the Joy Con for the Wii pointer
That would essentially fuse all of Nintendo's past hardware (except the Virtual Boy) into one!
Great ideas. Don't forget we can have headsets to mount the console in so we can get that Virtual Boy experience.
Unfortunately Wireless video casting has huge delay. You can try it right now with windows wireless desktop casting to your tv and move the mouse cursor. 🤣
Also it depends on receiving TV to be performant enough for such feature.
On various Android devices I've tested, the latency is significantly better than on windows/PC. There is certainly room for further improvement with the technology.
Wait but I could 100% see the console being called the Swiitch, oh god oh no oh god
Wouldn't that be awful? Hahaha. It does have the word "Wii" in there.
the wireless game using the watch as secondary screen reminds me of something that Nintendo already made. The Wii U.
I hope they try again.
I like the idea with the watch. But maybe instead of it being a wearable maybe it could be something that could be like a tamagotchi device that clips on to a bag or belt loop.
I also like that idea. I was a huge fan of virtual pets while growing up.
I would for sure buy that watch console!
Some really interesting ideas there.
I really hope they use Hall effect analog stick
Not likely, at least on base, because iirc no one else does on base, not even the DualSense (because Xbox Series has basically the same controller as previous gen). Maybe it will be on the pro controller.
Well it is Nintendo and they love to nickle and dime with the most petty of things. So odds are it won't have it, even if it only costs Nintendo a few extra dollars per unit.
Knowing Nintendo it probably won’t even be a Switch successor.. It’ll be some VR thing or something completely different like your watch console
I wouldn't mind a Nintendo Watch.
The swooch... thats my fave... then I can create a SasSWOOCH character lol
Swütch gang, let's go!!!
Double screen has always been a good idea
I like SwUtch, the most important feature for me is simply backwards compatibility, I just want to run most of my current backlog at a higher resolution and fps. And I totally agree we definitely need upgraded analog sticks😅
Absolutely I agree with you on backward compatibility!
Nintendo Switch: I'm Glad You're Here
Great fun video thx m8
What lovely calming vibes and scenery.
I too would be pleased if Wii-U games could be saved from Wii-U hell.
Justice for Wii U.
Hall effect analog sticks should be mandatory on all controllers.
I got some Bob Ross vibes from the intro...
Was that just a happy accident?
It must have been a happy accident. But that can be our little secret.
It's refreshing to see a dev honestly excited about the creative possibilities of gaming, we need these renaissance men of today to lead companies instead of virtue signaling politicians.
I appreciate that. For me, it is all about the experience and feeling for the player.
I don't really have any high expectations for Switch 2. As long as it has almost full backwards compatibility with Switch games (barring maybe the games that use peripherical and gimmicks that will probably be omitted like the IR camera)
I would like it to have better ergonomics in the joycons since the current joycons with their flat back really isn't comfortable. I recently got a Steam Deck and it's way more comfortable than Switch, despite being much bigger and heavier, due to the more ergonomic design.
Good points here. I always have to use a grip to be comfortable with joycon controls. I wonder if the IR sensor will remain...
I'm calling it now. Sungrand will be HUGE! I vote for him as the new Iwata.
Hahaha, that's a huge honor. I'll do my best and won't let you down.
@@sungrandstudios You are now on my radar and I will buy your products moving forward. I wish you much luck and love. Keep up the innovation.
I think the "New" Switch is a likely candidate for a name, similar to what they did with the 3ds.
Sadly I think this is a very likely outcome. The word "New" is frustrating for sales staff and developers to explain to people! Hahaha.
@@sungrandstudios Especially for the secondhand market.
You said it so many times that swütch is really growing on me.
They call it the Swatch, patent it and sue the Watchmaker.
I like SwIItch but with the Is connected with the line on top and bottom (like the old 3 army units from Risk)
Whoa! Nice one! I hadn't even considered that.
I'm not a watch guy but if wearing one during the day would save me from grinding more when I'm at home, HELL YES! That is SO COOL!
Hall effect joysticks built into the base kit of the switch would be awesome. I know there are some companies that already make hall effect controllers, but I’d rather get them from Nintendo themselves than from a 3rd party
I was told i got great hair. This man blows me out the water.
