Exactly Trish! Three birds is not many when you think of how 'gentle' these wind turbines are on the earth and how ecologically smart! I've found more than three dead birds in my yard this year. I had three babies that must have been blown out of the nest and they died on impact. Plus several other dead birds. And like you said, the birds killed at the wind farm were not deliberately murdered. Hugs & Love, Michele
Really nice video. I enjoyed the ride like Patty too. Incredible and impressive. I didn't know how much energy they created & yes, we could use more. That really isn't that many birds. I lost 3 birds from flying into the patio windows this year alone. Sad, but at least they weren't murdered like the wolves & other animals. Had to throw that in there! Love & Hugs ..Trish
OK..now that we are updated ..lol..i really like the video. I am for the wind mills, farms, turbines, whatever you wanna call them. Anything to preserve our natural resources and reduce our dependency of oil from other countries, I think they are kinda neat too. Better than seeing oil rigs like down here off our coast!!! Great awareness and educational video.
Nice video Michele. As of March this year US is #1 producer of wind power. Controversy in Cape Cod, NH right now. I always remembered this from years ago-the Kennedy's didn't want wind turbines in "their" back yard (offshore);others feel that way too. But it would put that region in top of the list in US for most wind power. Humane Soc and Int'l Fund for Animals are against them too (the birds). Others feel will also harm the fishing and tourism industry. (yes i refreshed my memory 1st)
