    This is so impressive. I love that you just went for it and treated your language as important to you as it is, ya know? Idk if that makes sense. But I love Spanish and this inspired me to act like it and take it super serious.

    This is super interesting. I work full time but am able to squeeze in 1-2h/day of French among Lingoda, language exchange, another language school, and/or self study. I’m at the beginning of B1 level, so once I get a bit more toward advanced B1, then I think I’ll implement something like this. Ty for the idea ☺️

      1-2h per day is really good for full time work! I struggled to even do an hour while I was working 😂. I’m sure you’ll progress really fast! And no worries I’m glad you found it interesting 😊

    Hey Bonnie, great channel and thank you for sharing! I used italki for my IELTS speaking test and the courses are really customizable to your level/interests! Maybe you can do another video on how to choose the teachers you like in a 30min trial? What should be considered and discussed to know more about the teacher's teaching style? Thank you so much!

    👏👏👏 you definitely got a like from me! I love how you touched on the fact that tenses are SUPER important (which they are) and without being prompted you almost never speak in past tense that much without reverting back to present. I have this SAME problem! I need so much practice with speaking in the past and when to choose which past tense! Wish you luck with all of your studies!

    Which one do u recommend to use: Lingoda or Italki? Do u still keep practicing and learning French with Lingoda?

    • @BonnieVoyage
      @BonnieVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I would consider lingoda and italki in different categories of language learning services. For example on lingoda you book a class based on the class material which is the same regardless of who teachers the class so it’s more structured like a course. You will listen to them explain grammar and so on, whereas italki is more back and fourth conversation and they will accomodate how and what you want to study. I would say using both, lingoda for lessons such as grammar and italki for speaking practice. But if you want me to pick, italki is better as it’s one on one (although you can do lingoda classes one on one but i did the super sprint) IF you are at least an A2 level (advanced beginner), otherwise i would say lingoda is better as they cover more content. For example I’m B1 level now and the lingoda content for me now it’s more like « learning vocab about the environmental repercussions », which is great but at this stage it’s better for me to practice day to day convo, but for an A1 learner the content it more « learn basic grammar and tenses » and therefore would be way more useful. I hope that answered your question! 😊

      @@BonnieVoyage Thank you so much for your response! I’m currently a B2-C1 English speaker, so I think I’m gonna choose Italki for speaking improvement. Otherwise, I’m starting to learn French, so I’ll pick Lingoda for this since it can guide me through my first steps. I really appreciate you for taking a little bit of your time to answering me!

      @@eduardoazevedo8926 sounds like you’re a pretty good level in English as it is! Language exchange is also a free way to practice that i would recommend a higher level like you. No worries, I’m happy to help! 😊

    Wow, what a rich study plan, sounds like you found an amazing teacher there!
    I only used Preply so far, it's not bad, but I might try iTalki too in some point (or maybe will use both of them to increase my "tutor radar" :P)

    • @BonnieVoyage
      @BonnieVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t tried Preply yet but I did a review on italki if you wanna check it out. Hahaha ~ tutor radar, I love that 😂 (very true too)

    • @AfroLinguo
      @AfroLinguo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually teach on preply and on italki and I have used italki before for learning Chinese but not Preply. I feel like Italki is better, because the payment policies of italki are more teacher friendly, whereas preply is more frustrating for teachers ( atleast for me) So I think on italki, you will get more value for your money. That's just my opinion though

    • @BonnieVoyage
      @BonnieVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AfroLinguo I’ve heard similar things from other teachers comparing italki and verbal planet, with rules such as « can’t talk to students outside of the dedicated class time » etc. So far rly enjoying italki :)

    thank you for making this, I've been wondering about whether italki is worth it!! What level were you taking for lingoda's sprint and what level do you think you're at now after the 3 weeks with italki?

    • @BonnieVoyage
      @BonnieVoyage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad i could share some insight! For lingoda i started at the beginning of A2 (but i did the last 2 or 3 classes of A1) and after the 3mnths of lingoda I became a B1. After the three week intensive it helped to make me a stronger B1 level but I wouldn't say i'm B2 yet. The italki intensive drastically improved my speaking level and I am now able to speak fluidly without having to think or translate in my head. :)

      @yoursisss 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BonnieVoyage Wow congrats on all that progress! I'm at an A2 rn so this gives me hope hahah. Can you also make a video on how u used reading to level up or how you went about it? Like did you use a dictionary to translate etc. I'm trying to get into reading myself
