      She is amazing. She has other videos on TH-cam and she's pretty badass!

    As a bass player and who has seen TOP live a couple of dozen times - these girls kick ass. The bass player is extremely talented. Hard to argue - so much talent here.. very impressive....

      We agree! The bassist is named Juna Serita and she has many videos of her own on TH-cam. We'll be reacting to one of her songs soon.

      @@UnhingedReactions Let's get real. At this point in time, if you had the chance to see Larry Graham live (at his current age), or Juna Serita, whom would you rather see?

    • @UnhingedReactions
      @UnhingedReactions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Duh, Juna of course!

      @@TheZipeedoo This is Doug, the voice of reason. Duh, Larry Graham of course. The man made slap bass playing what it is.

      @@UnhingedReactions I completely understand wanting to hear Larry Graham, but I used the word "see" -- as in, visual. Have you seen Larry lately? Would your eyes prefer his weathered rictus over the lovely visage of Juna?

    Domo arigato, Lady Tower of Power fan tribute players, most supreme excellent cover of U.S. soul-funk classic! And those musical nods to their
    homeland were a nice bonus! Especially impressed by the bassist and keyboardist!

    I just discovered this band a few days ago and I have seen Tower of Power live about 3 times, and yes I was blown away with these 4 musicians. As you can see by my name I enjoy the bass and Juna is a talented bassist. I know you all are up in Canada and I had a chance a few years ago to see Katisse at the Baked Potato here in L.A. you will be surprised with his music as these are all accomplished musicians in this video. th-cam.com/video/4M-duAEE_n4/w-d-xo.html. I'd like your reaction to this band. Thank you.

      Juna Serita. She's amazing. Last I heard, she left Tokyo Groove Jyoshi to go solo with her music, and they got a new bassist to replace her. They even played a gig with both bassists as a sort of "hand off" to the new girl (I forget her name, unfortunately...she's also amazing).

    Nice t t t t t t tempo, love it. I think it would be nice if the Japanese instrument had a little bit of sustain or echo or something to help it blend in a bit more.

    • @woodygould
      @woodygould 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's the Asian equivalent of a banjo; not a lot of sustain to be extracted from it.....

    They play another version of this song without the Japanese guitar...but instead...a Sax. To me...the Sax version pops more. Just saying. More in line with the original. Wonder how it would work if the band played the Japanese guitar AND the Sax together??? Still HIP. This band reminds me of Jazz fusion.
