As a licensed pharmacist in this system, thank you, thank you, thank you for speaking up. They triangulate medical professionals against patients, which is the opposite of our goal.
@jake9854 eh, not me, friend. Some pharmacists only care about money, yes, but I left. Some care about patients more than money, pharmacists aren't a monolith. This whole thing is a catch-22 imo. I have $200k+ in student loans. That much debt *does* encourage professionals to care more about the money, which most can't ignore like I do. I'm going for a high score in student debt, why not. UHC is disgusting. We never found out what was wrong because I couldn't (and still can't) afford the deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. Oil barons haven't listened to any environmentalists, but they feared him." In a law-based society, individuals who commit murder must be imprisoned to maintain order. The American people need to wake up to the fact that the vast majority of the problems that face the "little people" of this country are caused by the relatively few obscenely wealthy of this country. Republicans always gaslight to the contrary, because they are funded by the wealthy, but who holds the blame is a fact. Somehow, The American people have been convinced that it is not well paid employees that make a robust economy, no it is a few wealthy people that buy your neighborhood and crank up the rents that grow the economy. The American people really need to wise up. Luigi absolutely deserves the "Patriot of the Year" award. With one act, he brought into focus decades of lies and misinformation of Republicans. He gave the wealthy of this country the one thing they need more than anything else, fear.

The whole system, even professional education, is rigged against patients. It's time to fight back.
UHC is disgusting. I was denied an MRI requested by a Neurologist who suspected that my strange, chronic pressure headaches are being caused by part my brain being pressed up against my skull/spinal canal. We never found out what was wrong because I couldn't (and still can't) afford the deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. This country should be ashamed of how it treats the sick, non-wealthy, and those who aren't privileged enough to afford higher education. I agree with another poster who said Luigi was a warning. UHC wants the “life support” equipment removed from the home and the patient put on a BiPap unit which is for Sleep Apnea instead. They want to see if the patient will need to be readmitted to the hospital without the equipment. SMH……. I refuse to remove the equipment.
Insurance should be more like a credit union. Where the “shareholders” are the patients who pay into the insurance.
Like cooperatives..
Thats universal healthcare.
You're a HERO for addressing this robbery. It can change overnight, but we have to unite and end this hostage situation.🇺🇲
I'm Australian, I've never been to the USA and have no family there, and I have heard horrible accounts of what the health insurance industry in the USA does to people. I've heard of people suffering for years, being denied coverage and going broke or even unaliving themselves, waiting too long to get treatment and not making it, and that's just the first examples that come to mind.
What I've heard from the other side of the world is no doubt a drop in the ocean of suffering people in the USA are living with. I feel sorry for the CEO's family, but my first thought when I heard about the shooting was, "I wonder what horrible thing that company did to the shooter."
UHC did nothing to Mangione, he was never a subscriber!
@@a.e.7988not true at all. His mother was and she succumbed to her health problems that were not covered through her UNITED health care plan. She died because united health care killed her. He got his vengeance.
So yeah, they did do something to him.
@@sarahn3394 His mother isn't dead. There are two manifestos and the one about his mother's health issues may be a fake, that's what I've read anyway.
I feel sorry for all the UHC victims.. and there's far too many of those to feel sorry for his family even if they weren't seperated.
You're a real Doctor, someone who actually cares for patients. Massive respect to you Dr.Youn ❤.
6:58. I did hear the word “almost”
Dude still needs to make money on TH-cam, but we can see where he stands
Thank you Dr.Youn for siding with the American people. You are very brave and your honesty and solidarity will not be forgotten!
You’re one of the two doctors on YT platform that I actually trust and will take advice on. Very accurate content always, thanks!! ♥️
Who’s the other?
As a person who has had cancer at a young age and I have to take many meds
Having united healthcare playing god with insurance is despicable
Luigi mangione is a hero
And I’m standing by my word
Thank you for uploading this. I hope to see more people from the medical/pharmaceutical fields speak out against these parasitic, unnecessary, and quite frankly, criminal insurance companies.
Americans deserve universal, single-payer healthcare, and we need to end the national embarrassment that is our predatory healthcare system
I had never thought I would support a ' killer ' but here we go ' WELL DONE Luigi Mangione! '
When the politics and justice system fail us, vigilantism becomes very tempting
Agreed. I'll make a moral exception here.
except he ruined an ongoing court case about corruption that the ceo was set to testify in.
@lebowskisrug by actually delivering justice unlike the "justice system" would've done
@ this dude didn’t cause he diseases. i get he’s not a good person but this was too far and did absolutely nothing. he could have actually been brought to justice. instead the cycle is just going to continue.
You earned a subscriber by speaking what most doctors are afraid to say. ❤
Thank you so much for this video! This is an incredibly important topic that needs to remain in the national conversation
I was forced to record EVERY phone call with UHC because they would routinely "lose" prior authorizations, incl those with confirmation numbers provided by UHC themselves. My doctor would have to waste his time and have a 3 way phone conference w/myself, doc, and UHC before they would admit it exists.
I’m so glad you did this video. I think more of us need to hear from doctors and healthcare providers about their experiences working with insurance companies.
Thank you for speaking out, Dr. Youn!!!
