Thanks for this latest installment. And also maybe we should extend our kudos to the boys and girls at Google/TH-cam for the current results with YT. All SEEMS to be working - videos load AND I get comments at the same time now.
You comment makes me think, “Is it possible Google/TH-cam puts in some glitches on purpose? So when thing do work as they should, we will feel like we have gotten an improvement...”
I am using LibreOffice Base 5.4.3.2 and wanted to observe that, with this version, aliasing a field in Design View does not generate an 'AS' statement between the field name and the alias. Instead, a space is placed between the field name and the alias name. If in SQL editing mode, entering a field name and a space followed by the alias name will produce a valid result. Failure to include a space between the field name and the alias name will produce a syntax error. This is also true if quotes are used; Base seems to need the space between two quoted items in order to properly interpret the adjacent quotes as separate. If quotes are not used, a space will suffice.
This seems to be an area where OpenOffice and LibreOffice have started to differ. I was experimenting with transferring queries from Access via the VBA code and found that one version of Base accepted "AS" and the other needed "ALIAS" instead.
Oddly, some time ago - like a few weeks ago - I was able to play videos but only after I cleared the cache and cookies, which, after reloading, signed me out completely! And as for using Linux, I've ALMOST ALWAYS been using Linux for YT and didn't have any issues till a few weeks ago. So I wasn't exactly making any deliberate attempt to avoid being tracked. Plus I tried a bit of tweaking with the repositories and with this HTML 5 business. But everything seems to have fixed itself.... for now.
I think you’re right! Maybe Google was having some problems tracking you on Linux, and to punish you, they would not let you watch their videos. When you updated to something that would allow them to track you, only then could you view the TH-cam Videos. It’s just a theory…
Hi TheFrugalComputerGuy! I just started using LibreOffice. I just want to ask about creating a rectangle but I got a problem adding field above it. I couldn't select the field that I added to move somewhere in the form. It keeps on selecting the rectangle. Please help
It has something to do with how it's anchored. He addressed the same problem with the header on the form. It was in the video LibreOffice Base (07) Design Mode Basics around 10:55.
Of course, they could be playing with our minds. I wonder what ever would happen if people using Google/TH-cam just got fed up with using it and en masse migrated over to other video sharing sites like Vimeo and DailyMotion, etc. At least those sites hadn't been screwing with "improvements". While YT was behaving dysfunctionally, these other video sites were working absolutely fine... Nevertheless, I believe that Google is workiing on a system of brutally efficient monitoring and tracking...
You're welcome - Thanks for watching!
Excellent videos. Greetings from Munich!
These videos are great. Well done. I think I will use them in my Database course. Thanks a lot.
Very good!

The only reason I use Paint.Net is because I have a tutorial on it. Perhaps in the future I will create a tutorial about GIMP.
You use Linux!!! GOOD MAN!!! Thumbs up! :D
Windows 7 ≠ Linux !?!?

Hello. How do you format SQL instruction in this fast way?
+yaproc I pause the video - I show the process I use in video 21 around 5:35.
