Hey, I’ve had the bag for about 6 months now. Been using it everyday as an EDC bag for my keys, wallet, breath mints etc. Been using my atlas executive holdall in conjunction with the Sutter tech sling for all my tech.

To anyone who found this review and want to potentially buy this bag, this reviewer omitted two very important things when it comes to comfort and usability of the bag. 1. The strap and D ring make an absolutely god awful rubbing noise whenever the bag is even slightly loaded out. If you're at all sensitive to sound, this WILL be annoying. 2. The flap that separates the D ring from your back will not sit flush if you wear the bag too low. It will be pulled slightly forward and dig into your back. It is slight but also very annoying. If you can get over those two things (I could not) then its a good bag. I am surprised that this wasn't brought up in the review though, these were immediately obvious issues as soon as I tried the bag on for the first time.
This is great for college students who are constantly sitting up and down for multiple lectures and don't want to constantly remove their bag again and again
100%. The quick adjustable shoulder strap is by far the best executed Ive tried in a long time, helped by the sling form amd compact carry vs a full on backpack. Side access at a swing is a pleasure when you want to stay agile light and feel more nimble. 🦾 Keep being awesome John, 1TT
This bag looks almost perfect for what I want… and I LOVE brown leather… but I have a concern with how weather resistant it is. I don’t expect to go swimming with it, but my concerns are 1) if my tech gear inside would survive rain and 2) will the BAG survive the rain once it’s dried up and feel like new again?
Hey Keto 👋 thanks and a great question. Sadly this isn't a sling i would want to be caught out in the rain as the material is inherently not rainproof. The zippers are and the leather will provide reasonable resistance but may not offer the same experience exposed in the rain. Can add to the patina or wear look but you're better off with the ballistic nylin or a mkre waterproof EDC. hope that helps awesome sling otherwise if you save it for those beautiful days! 🌞 Keep being awesome, 1TT

Just curious, I have this weekly commute where I had to carry atleast 2 bags with me, and I was wondering if this bag can be comfortably carried in front for cases where I need to huddle up in a train/crowded bus? Overall I think imma purchase it regardless if I can't.

The mesh panel and felt adjustable shoulder strap makes to transition easy while making sure your stuff are safe in moments you need to huddle up during busy hours. The top handle is a nice addition as it gives a bit more carry options when you prefer to hold it like a briefcase and since it lacks backpack straps like the Sutter backpack. Great review! How hard is it to maintain the wax canvas? The company has a video showing someone removing scratch marks with a hair dryer, which seems like a hassle.
Thanks Jeff! There are a few ways, but I think Waterfield sell a canvas protector to keep it in top shape as soon as you get the bag and also helps with scratches going forward. But if like me you like the character and patina it develops as part of the adventures then you don't need to worry about that :)
Can this also be a unisex bag? I’ve tried out several Pacsafe bags that failed on me with the wire coming out so I want to give this one a try so I can fit my switch and iPad in it.
Yes for sure! Design wise will sit on any body size or frame so can can definitely go for it. You won't find any of those issues here as I've never experienced a breakdown in the structure in Waterfield's bags. There's a backpack version of the sutter sling if you'd like the choice, ipad and switch will work well on this. Let me know how you get on 👍
There's no anti theft features here its more for quick access and being an agile carry. May surface book can fit in the main 13.5" which has more vertical height than an MBP, it would be tight but COULD be possible maybe. Don't quote me on that though. The sutter backpack could be a better alternative
