Agreed, Mary is a true hero of the faith, she is blessed amongst women But she is still human, desperately in need of a savior, just like all the rest of us, save one, her blessed son!
I think a lot of people are missing something the bible has repeatdly pointed to in the role of husband and wife. The husband takes the on the burdan of responsibility within a family. When Eve ate, and then Adam, God addressed Adam before Eve. And because Adam and Eve were the progenitor of human kind, all mankind bears the curse God pronounced on Adam and Eve. Scripture has repeatedly pointed to lineage being established through the man, not the woman because the man is given the role of leadership and thus bears the burden of responsibility. The reason the virgin birth is important is because Jesus was not the offsping of a man. Mary did not have to be sinless herself in order to bear Jesus, Jesus needed to be born of a virgin because the curse is passed down through the line of Adam.
If Jesus' skin couldn't touch sinful skin. Such as Mary's womb then that would mean Jesus couldn't shake a sinner's hand. I don't understand this as an argument that Mary had to remain sinless. take care
The flaw in this question and the response is the presupposition of an Augustinian anthropology and the doctrine of Original Sin, a theological construct that finds no support in Scripture. Hebrews 2.14-18 states (paraphrasing) that Jesus took the same nature that people post-Fall possess. We are not sinners at conception, we are not guilty for Adam’s sin, and we are not conceived with a sin nature. If you think that we possess from conception a sin nature, then Jesus possessed one as well. Hebrews 2 very clearly shows that Jesus took the same human nature that we have.
@ Each person needs a savior because he sins (Romans 3.23). Paul, however, in 1 Cor 10.13 states that a person can refrain from sinning each time he is tempted to sin. If a person can avoid sin in each temptation situation, then he can avoid sin in all temptation situations. So a person can live a life without sin, but nobody does do that. Therefore, each person needs Jesus Christ as Savior to atone for their sins.
The whole worlds sinful parents were Adam and Eve, which is why all were born into sin. Ezekiel 18:19-23 is personal, like if my son or daughter I have lies or steals, then that sin is on them, not on me
@ Yeah look what David said how he was born Psalm 51:5- Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. And Paul makes it clear that it’s everyone because of Adam Romans 5:12- Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:18- Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation...
@ He literally says after for that all have sinned, that’s literally the point of death spreading to all because all have sinned. He tells you in chapter 8 that Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh, for sin to condemn sin in the flesh. That’s why we are told by Jesus that we have to be born again. If you’re already born without sin, then what’s the point? But we see why we have to be born again because of sin that’s in the flesh. That’s why Peter says being born again, not of corruptible seed... and it’s sin that makes the flesh corruptible seed. That’s why it says those that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 3:23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:19- For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 8:1- There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Would it make a difference if God didn't give Moses the ten commandments? He didn't, I'm just curious, maybe the ten commandments has been called the law of Moses in ERROR FOR CENTURIES. Only the laws given to Moses, should be called the law of Moses. Throw in terms like mosaic law, and Torah, confusion cancer gets a foothold. Mt. 4:4, should be rendered, every word from the mouth of God NOT GIVEN to Moses, the ten commandments, verified by ,19:17, and most specifically 22;36-40. All the law, not one jot or tittle can pass. Jesus was declaring the ten commandments as the new covenant written on the heart from the beginning of his ministry, especially since he told Satan MAN ,will live by them. Sabbath too, made for you. One law eternal, One law from/through Moses.
It was Mary’s egg, I think. He looked like his mom. Or it was an egg implanted that was also fertilized. God made Jesus resemble his earthly parents. I think it spoils the idiom if it wasn’t Mary’s egg that wasn’t fertilized. The placenta doesn’t share blood but nutrients and antibodies only, so Jesus blood was untainted by Mary’s blood! 🩸
Going to disagree as it is written Jesus is tempted even as common to man but didn't sin. Jesus was tempted by the desires of the flesh but to deny himself and obey the desires of the Spirit of God and so did God's will by bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

There is simply the error of 'original sin'. If we are sinners by birth, and guilty of sin we did not commit, what do we repent of ?
Jesus is the second Adam, the "new man". He was a new creation inside of Mary's womb not a product of Mary.

@@TroyPeiffer "but nobody does do that". Why?
@ because we are biological creatures born into a world suffused with sin.

So what's the answer? It seems like Greg is saying that God made an exception for Jesus, but then he can do that for everyone.
Not that God made an exception for Jesus, but that Jesus is the exception in that He alone, did not sin.
