BUT UNDEFEATED?? in 1977 Los Angeles he fought against Narong Noi Kiatbundit a muay thai fighter , Read the Urquidez's after fight interview. Narong Noi was a great fighter but in the 70's Pud Pad Noy was the king of muay thai.
There was a lot of confusion with that fight. Some of the judges were unfamiliar with Muay Thai rules, and so there were things that scored that shouldn't have, things that should have scored that didn't. The whole thing was a mess. It wasn't that anyone was cheating. Just a clash of styles and everyone involved being unprepared. I've never heard Benny say anything negative about Pud Pad Noy.

This leg check isn't good, elbow should touch leg to close gap, cause if it's not closed, kick will travel to your ribs. Leg check he demonstrates is for advanced fighters, fast leg check counter. For beginners, as this group by no doubt is, leg check should be fully closed elbow to knee check to prevent kick to hit your body.
Benny at the time was accepting any fight and fighting anyone. When that fight happened the asked him if he is ready to fight Muay Thai. He thought Muay Thai was the name of the fighter. He never heard of it before. So he said yes i'll fight muay thai. And that was the fight that introduced Muay Thai to the American Scene. Benny said after that he never experienced the pain he felt with low kicks before.
No what happened is it was in Thailand. Big time home town refs. However Bennie the Jet was an undefeated kick boxer. Muai Thai is not kick boxing. Watch the full fight of that "loss" you will see Bennie won it fairly easily.
