    This video might be the only reason I upgrade to an LED. Watching someone who actually used their time and experience to share with others. I would have been pissed if I ordered this light and it wasnt just a simple swap out. Glad you did the work

    Great video, i was linked from the Royal Enfield forum, “This guy nailed it”, was how he phrased it. He wasn’t wrong! Even a dummy like me can do that,with the excellent instructions. Thank you, and I subscribed.

    Geeat demo, thanks. Im guessing its a huge improvement over the stock light?

    Great content. I do wonder why cut the position light plug off the bike instead of removing the corresponding plug from the OEM light and graft it to the new light. So that way if the next owner wants to bring it back to stock it’s unmolested.

      @TerraMagnus You could wire a quick connect to the new light so it matches the OEM connector on the bike. I usually keep the stock connectors on my mods but not on this one. There will never be a next owner of this bike. lol Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Great video! With the lens seeming to be asymmetrical, does this mean there is an asymmetrical beam pattern also? I live in a left-hand traffic country, and don't want to be blinding oncoming traffic

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Ray Gorman The beam is a little asymmetrical but not from left to right. It's more from top to bottom. I don't ever have cars flashing me because I'm blinding them. I did at first but the beam was adjusted too high. I want to do more night videos when I get a chance. Just to demonstrate the light a bit better. I really like this headlight. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Just a piece of advice, you should put a link to where you bought the accessories you're using. It helps with people who want to do the same upgrade and down the line you can get paid for affiliate links.

      @David Smart Thanks for the comment. That definitely makes sense. My time is so limited right now with work and such. I just get the videos up when I can. I usually mention the brand and model number on parts I use. Then people can buy it from their dealer of choice. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Hello:) thanks for making this video. Puig lumen r looks super cool for Interceptor. Im also planning to upgrade the headlight for my Interceptor. Is this headlight better than the stock? In terms of brightness n throw? Im unable to come to a conclusion from the video. Your feedback will be a great help.. Also can this be used with a coupler? Which can shut the low beam down after 3 seconds and light only DRLs until we manually trigger the lowbeam?

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Prabu balasubramanian Thanks for the comment. Yes, the Lumen R is brighter and has amazing throw. I am very happy with the upgrade. So, the instructions say if your lights are wired with position, low beam, and high beam controls, only the position light will be on until low or high is activated. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Nice bike. Im also planning to change the headlight of my GT650 but dont know what to choose, Ali express LED headlight with RE logo or just a plain LED headlight. I just dont know the quality of those light.

      @Crypto Psycho Thanks for the comment. I know what you mean. I had no Idea what headlight to go with. I heard Puig made quality stuff so I went to their website and found the Lumen R. The RE logo light is cool just not the look I'm going for. I have no idea about the quality of that light. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.

    hello mate, my question would be is the new one lighter in weight? thanks, rich

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว

      @rover100bunson When taken apart, the new reflector assembly/light weighs about the same as the stock one. The new one might be a smidge heavier but it's nothing that caught my attention. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Hi. I'm trying to make a similar headlight work on my Yamaha XSR900. It's a Puig Lumen (without r). I can't see it on your video, but when you hit high beam, does your low beam stay on so both leds are iluminated or does it shut off and leaves only high beam on?

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Zolja Slo Thanks for the comment. Both Puig Lumen models are awesome. They put out a lot of light. So, when I turn my high beams on, both the low and high beams are on. That's the way it's supposed to work. Hope that helps. Stay safe. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.

      @@my-enfield612 Any idea why i get only one or the other?

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Zolja Slo No, I didn't run into that problem. Have you checked to see if the original light functions the same way. I ask because the only thing I can think of is that the switch on your bike is wired that way or the light is defective. The Lumen R is a little different from the Lumen but the Lumen R instructions show both beams on when high beam is activated. I found this on the Puig website for the Lumen. I'm wondering if the third sentence means the beams work independently.
      "The buyer of these universal LED headlights should take into account the technology of their own motorcycle for mounting. If your unit includes LED position lights as standard, you can activate the high and low beams as you would before the modification. That is, when activating position it would have an LED light and when changing (short or long) the LED system will turn off. If your motorcycle only has short and long range lights, they will be activated equally but together with the LED groups."
      I'm not sure. Sorry I can't be more help.

    • @ZoljaSlo
      @ZoljaSlo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@my-enfield612 Yes, after checking yesterday with a multimeter, my bike seems to shut off low beam when high beam is activated.

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Zolja Slo Cool, at least you know it's wired right. You can change the switch later if you want both beams activated or rewire the switch you have. Glad you figured it out.

    Buying option for 🇮🇳 India?

      @Rakesh Tiwari I got mine from RevZilla. They ship international but I'm not sure about India. I did some research and the headlight is available at Cycle Gear. Their website specifically says they ship to India. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Well i just use an LED bulb

    • @my-enfield612
      @my-enfield612  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Sourav The 650 Rider Thanks for the comment. I almost did that at first. I won't get too into it. You can research it for yourself. But, there are a lot of articles stating that while you can put LED bulbs into a halogen housing, the performance will not be the best it can be. It has to do with the reflectors. Thanks for watching.
