Little fun story, I used to work at the Jurassic Park Discovery Center at universal islands of adventure, and the cannon there was that the spinosaurus at the park was named Susan and was actually the only male dinosaur at the facility, hence why we weren't breeding any others until we figured out why and how that happened. Anyway, my vote for the spino name is Susan.

When this build is eventually finished, I think it’d be cool if you turn it night and use a flashlight for the tour!

@@_marcomuniz_she made a video about what dinosaurs you can use as babies like how people use Albertosaurus as a Juvenile T Rex (I can't remember the name of the other one she said in the video but I'm pretty sure it's Quanziasaurus)
btw you can select a building at the demolish section and you can make buildings damaged.

@@EvolutionSquareWill we be getting a mini “The five deaths” build for each of the islands from the first game? We already have sorna. Just need Peña, Mantanceros, tacono, and muerta, also sanctuary if you wanna get inclusive.
For the second episode Evo, please can you have an Ouranosaurus, Nigersaurus and Suchomimus swamp? It could have JP Hotels and could connect to the river which you will undoubtedly build an aviary upon in a later build.

There should be a JP3 Pteranodon build somewhere. Either with a big aviary section or possibly free flying pterasaurs using territory to try and keep them in one general area. Its kinda hard to truly do that but it would make sense for an abandoned park for some Pteranodons flying around freely.

I was inspired by your mini Nublar Island, so I started to make mini Sorna before your video. Well, you were faster than me in finishing that island, Evolution Square. 😂👏

Since its Sorna, I think it would be cool to see a San Diego section, with the amphitheater and enclosure layouts.
Another Idea I had is from the novel and thats to have a High Hide for the velociraptors to destroy.

I love the way your editing as evolved! All the "Oh yeaaaaah" really got me throughout the video it was amazing, also the slowmo and foreshadowing with the pillars haha. I also like the little loading bar to see how long the speedbuild segments are. The entrance of Mini Sorna is really amazing, i like the comeback of the spino, it really needs more attention! Cant wait to see how this island will develop :D
You recreated the map really well and I think the idea of an abandoned park is also very nice! The airport idea with the hangar was also really ingenious! Don't worry, I think this park construction project can be different from the other island projects and I'm already excited to see what this park will look like by summer

I like doing the rock being debris thing with a broken concrete fence. Never thought of doing it with the monorail 😅 works perfectly!
I’ve been at an all time low, but opening TH-cam and seeing that mini sorna has finally begun brings me so much joy. Can’t wait to say what you do with it!
Please call the Spinosaurus Bob Ross, as just like him you managed to stay calm. Even when you made the “happy little accident” of deleting the monorail.
The funny thing about Sorna that I’ve been dealing with is the fact that in islands it’s the biggest, yet in terms of building it might be smaller due to the rivers cutting through the island. Makes it fun and frustrating though.
A tip for abandoned parks is that when you color lights black they look like they're turned off. Also, place a lot of trees really close to the broken down buildings to make it look like they haven't been tended to in a while
Evo you truly add the story to your builds and that’s a great thing that few people have anymore. But I’m glad you have the story telling ability. Keep up the good work. 😄

I really fun idea would be to have a river in an aviary to represent the scene in the aviary where billy is carried off.(doesn’t have to be perfect) Also the best skins for JP3 pteranodon is Amazo Rainforest with chalcorana or Svalbard and Papurana

Neat lil trick if you want to put lights in and have them shut of, go to the painter section in decorating and color them black, hope this helps

The thing that you can do to make the park more damaged is just to unleash a tropical storm which will destroy buildings and fences as well

This was nice to come home from work to. Been looking forward to this build since Mini Nublar and Mini MantaCorp Island. Loved both of those builds and have no doubt I will enjoy this one as well. Evo gets an A+ from me for effort.
You should add a lagoon with the sunken boat and then add like a plesiosaurus or something. Also Acrocanthosaurs because she is my favorite

Hi Evo im so excited for this series. Some tips I have for the abandoned look is using the very dirty terrain paint to show erosion and an unkept look. Some small puddles to show frequent rain and clogged sewage. Using torches to show like fire in certain areas aswell as some barriers to show evacuation procedures
Not gonna lie this episode for mini sorna is already so detailed and this is an A for effort

What about an 'evacuation port' with a dock(s), could have a couple of vehicles abandoned outside where visitors/staff rushed to leave 🙌
Whenever I make a new park I sit down before and write lore to fit it in! Glad to find others who make up their own lore!

One idea to add to the spinosaurus runway, (spinoway if you will). Use the small Mediterranean rocks to make a tiny tyrannosaurus rex skull. This might lead to the tyrannosaurs (maybe buck and doe of course) to choose to stay in their habitat. Also tip for when you use a monorail roof and you want to remove a decoration use the move tool then delete since you can't move the monorail.
I haven't really made an abandoned "park" but I have built a modded abandoned island inspired by Sorna and the Isle. The damage tool is good, but I find the best building sets are jurassic park and malta. They are a little more rustic. Of course scatter structures even in forests. the JP and Malta decorations are really good for that. Have a shelter here, a tower there, it works well even without mods. you might also want to strand a couple of jeeps out and about as well especially if they are damaged. One little immersion breaking issue is when buildings are still working so the helicopter is still fine and its blades are spinning. Of course you can disable those but then you have those annoying icons.
I am SO looking forward to this!! Maxbe you could build a Bunker, like the one in the Movies
I don’t know how well this would work for this island but maybe have on a future built have a separate Island or two for staff. Did this recently on my park and it turned out pretty well!
For the abandoned park areas with grass patches in the open, you can use the dirt brush for a more worn effect and the foliage ones for a more overgrown look. Making things like the benches sort of titled or having a few lacking from the pattern also gives an abandoned feel.

Building suggestion: Abandoned lab section with spinoraptor (they escaped) and now live there, its simple, but would be cool
One good tip is to block off areas with foliage and debris to give it the effect that a building collapsed and fell down in the way
You should make a failed sorna research lab where they were researching how hibrids would go with the dinosaurs that they are made from

Watching your videos gives me so much inspiration and makes me realize that my Jurassic Park Germany has so much left for me to do. I will finish it. Eventually. Promise 😅
a fun way i make parks look abandoned is making smaller things (small planters, benches, trash cans) moved around a bit since we cant rotate them any other way, it can still give the illusion a dino ran through there and knocked it out of the way of its original position
I think it would be cool if you made a section with all or almost all of the dinosaur species that were named in the Fallen Kingdom Sanctuary scene. ( I mean the scene where he names the species that would be brought to the "sanctuary")
Tbh I can tell that this was a master piece from the start
tip:evo,you can put planters and other things under the counter or rearrangethem completely to dispel the illusion that the dinosaurs screamed the park

Abandoned laboratory tour, this used to be a usual lab tour but now it’s roamed by the experiments from the shadows.
(Put spooky Dino’s or ones with weird attributes for a better effect)

I have also built an abandoned Park, what I do is turn on heavy storms and just wait and than add your Dino’s because the heavy storm causes the buildings to look abandon and destroyed, idk just an idea. 🤷♂️
Hey evo could you build a swamp monorail roof habitat for the ankylodocus🙏 I don’t have the DLC so when I get it I would like to use this for inspiration thank you 🗣️you still my favorite TH-camr🤫🧏♂️edit: either that or build a ceratatasaurus habitat with the poop everywhere, also you should name the spino Bethany

Hi evo, i have a suggestion, you can make the dinosaurs brake a part of the fence and cover around with invisible fence, so it gives the "illusion" that is broken
For some of the more Forest habitats you should make ity bity tiny spot of water, this will make it just like mud. Incredible build as always

Assuming raptors aren't added in this video I recommend looking at Trespasser's level The Town for inspiration,Burroughs Town is basically the worker village from The Lost World but bigger and better.
If they're added in this video I still recommend checking Trespasser for inspiration,may not be the same Sorna (being closer to the novel one) but there's a lot of ideas for great parks in that game.

I am building a jurassic park inspired park called Jurassic Kingdom on the 1993 map with the waterfall and i used ur fence layout tutorial to get it accurate and i must say even with the inspiration i always get from you plus my own creativity it is looking 🔥 so thank you for always being an inspiration to me and other park builders

You should hide some hatcheries on the edge of the map amd and set them to release new dinos if the alive ones die, then you can set site B to a kind of site B mode
Broken fences on enclosures and Jurassic Park avaiary in background helps sell it. Even add baracades near the broken fence to make look more broken

I built a trex enclosure and it is based on jp3, it also has a spino and they are separated by invisible fence but it looks like they are in the same enclosure (i recommend using the 2001 trex skin just like the movie where they fight) i hope you understand

Man I haven’t played jwe2 or watched in a while! Time to get back into it!
For the runway it would be a nice detail to mix in the dark gray path (I forgot what it’s called) to make it look like the asphalt has been faded by the sun and not being used or repaired for a long time
Also if you have an aviary you could have the pterosaur of choice roaming the island and. Turn off Dino threats to make it look like escaped it escaped btw the ground leaf brush is great for an abandoned look
