    Very Interesting Information.
    Thank You for Sharing.
    I have loaded Tens of Thousands of Brass Cases. And I have NEVER encountered this issue.

    Interesting, my initial thought was this was an analog input measuring from a strain gauge or load sense on the swager. Using a digital input from a dry contact is so much more cost effective, granted it’s less accurate but this is a consumer manufacturing machine and not a commercial/industrial unit.

    I just added this sensor to my Apex-10 after the wave spring in the decap die failed and started intermittently failing to eject the primer. I am loading 38 SuperComp and its 99.99% my brass all the time and this cartridge never has crimped primer pockets. I like that this can also work as the decap sensor. One thing I will mention for those who don't have this is the other choice on the popup that says, "CLEAR CASE." Choosing that instead of manually jogging up will move the toolhead back up but not index. You can easily clear the bad case. It also warns that you should check the case in the powder drop station because it will have gotten a powder charge. You need to remove that so you don't double-charge. Then, touch END CYCLE to finish that action and make sure each other station completes properly. I guess it takes a situation to show the value of these sensors. Thankfully, I just had a couple of unexpected stoppages due to the primers not getting ejected.
    I started with the manual Apex-10, then added the AutoDrive with no sensers a while later. I've added this SwageSense, the BulletSense and the PowderCheck sensors. There's not much left to add now 🙂

    Mark 7 needs a case extractor to kick off bad cases from the shell plate like ammobot has, so we don't have to manually pull cases.

    I’d like to see your review of the Lee Ram Swager. I bought an RCBS kit and was not at all impressed with it.

    is there a reason why the swag sensor has to be a destructive ram rather then just a sensor that measures the distance of the primer pocket, from base of the case, could be just a push style switch that fits perfectly in primer pocket if switch is pushed it's simply because there is something still in the pocket.. this is nothing more then a high tech battering ram destroying your cases which cost more then a primer sorry but this is a bad design, some times simple is better!

      Who cares about 9 mm and .223 cases you can have plenty of. These days primers are hugely expensive and I can find typical caliber cases all day on my range.

    • @haylspa
      @haylspa ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZhuJo99 223 brass is a bit harder to come by/buy, 9mm sure plenty of range score there., don't change the fact they don't need to destroy the brass just for a check, but say 338 lapua brass, and your 9mm brass is still more expensive just easier to find at the range. the design is dumb some one got high tech on the brain rather then common sense. also working a ram to destroy a brass case is hard on motors so there is also wear and tare just to add a high tech sensor rather then a simple cheap switch! it makes no sense it's tech dumb

      Because
      All
      Once fired Military Brass has to be swaged(expanded)
      Before
      You can put a new primer into the primer pocket.
