Many may know the story of the Red Crosses at 1:48 but for those of you that don't: It is a visual reminder of the loss of American Citizens who have died in service in Iraqi. Each Red Cross you see represent 10 Human Beings who have died in service to their Country. I realize Eric does not make political statements on his channel and I respect that but I encourage all to read about Service remembered and Life's lost. Please don't make this a thread about your perspective of War. Eric just happened upon a chance for us to research and remember...if we choose to.
@@azmark1956 Haha...I'm not saying he should go into the kitchen and see how they make the food, just visit the diners that Guy Fieri recommends. Hell, many, many people have already done route 66 and recorded it, doesn't mean it can't be done again in a different way.
Thanks for sharing, we will be going full time RVING starting Nov 1st, remodeling our silver Eagle bus. Love watching your videos on places I’m adding to our bus adventures. Stay safe out there.
Eggciting route!!! Beautiful to see pch santa monica... Im a Anaheim ca native... i do not miss CA but i do miss the beautiful coast! I live in Central PA now.. close to Hershey park😊 we enjoy our annual passes. I use to work at Disney anahiem years and years ago and though I had free access to the park for fun. I rarely went for fun. We love Hershey though. I love the drone shots!!! Eggcited to see your adventures on this route! i live vicariously through you haha. Be safe and give Jax a cuddle for us. He is Purrrrfect!! 😊
If I may suggest a couple of stops. One is stopping in Elk City, OK where there is a real nice Route 66 Museum and the other is stopping in Oklahoma City and do the OKC bombing site and museum. You will like the museum. It begins with what it was like before the bombing. You will be sitting in front of a set of doors. After the recording of a meeting from across the street which picks up the explosion, the double doors will swing open and you will enter the Chaos Room where you will see and hear total chaos after the explosion. It is quite something to see and hear. Check it out if you can. Sobering experience.
I'm impressed you know how to drive in California just like everyone else. At 6:35 you do the proverbial "California Stop" roll through the stop sign. It's OK Eric, we do it all the time, it's a California thing! Good luck on Route 66, I can't wait for the video's.
Hey one thing that will help your transmission on a grade. Put the ebrake on first before putting in park. That way it takes the pressure off your cable when you get ready to put it back in gear.
Love the drone work on this one. I don't know which was scarier, the murder house or the thought of Jax driving LOL He seems to be a bit of a dare devil behind the wheel. mmmmmmm tator tots!
Now you are in my neck of the woods in San Bernardino County. I have driven through Cajon Pass tons of times, but don't know where you are picking up route 66 through there. Now I have to look it up. Thanks for the great video and have a great time.
That section thru Cajon Pass where you camped was actually a four lane hwy prior to I-15 bypassing the old route after they opened I-15 they blocked off one half of the lanes.
You have the best videos on YT. Always look forward to them. I love your commentary, it's so informative. I know I will never see all the places you've been so I enjoy watching and listening to you.
Make sure and stop in Albuquerque for a green chili cheeseburger. ...and maybe you can make it to the International Balloon Festival, starting Oct. 5th, I think. Love your videos...Blessings to you and Jax
Once you hit Illinois, you should head North to the Town of Woodstock. Groundhogs Day was filmed here along with parts of Trains, Planes and Automobiles. Also home to the Dick Tracy comic strip creator. And the Illinois Railway Museum, the largest railway Museum in the US is right around the Corner in Union. A very cool place!
When you are in the Texas Panhandle, you need to turn south thirty miles of Amarillo and spend a day at Palo Duro Canyon and Panhandle Plains Museum (Canyon, TX area). You'll love the canyon and the Museum is one of the biggest in Texas. Also, there is an RV Museum in Amarillo, too.

I love your fall wreath. I think it would be neat to sleep in a teepee 1x. Please be careful at the edges of those hillsides. I love your drone footage showing the teepees, & your camera is really clear, I loved the colors of the rocks, just beautiful scenery out there!
Digiorno pizza = yumm...Eric the other day I was checking out an Instant Pot mini - 3 quart small size...me thinks you may want to think about one. They make tempered glass vented lids for them, too, which can keep your food warm, or turn the pot into a slow cooker. I don't know if they can be a programmable slow cooker, but a programmable slow cooker is another nice thing for you to have. You tell it how long to cook for, and it shuts itself off when done. Nice, hot, home cooked delicious food may be really worth it and comforting. I remember in one video you said something about red sauce or other food dirtying up pipes, but really, you CAN wash things outside once in a while 😉☕🐈
Yeppers your getting so popular I'm waiting for the day when all these gals end up chasing ya. Have a great time becareful theres scarey people anywhere you go. Love your videos
I met you and Jax the last time you went through Victorville on your Route 66 trip. Would have been good to see you again. Maybe next time. Where you boondocked, both sides of the road was Route 66 back in the day. It was 2 lanes in both directions. Today they only maintain half of it. Hopefully you stopped at Calico Ghost Town this time through. Free overnight parking at Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner.

Well I hope you are able to find new an interesting things the second time around. I will be watching even though I don't find route 66 to be all that interesting of all the places to go in the US. Northern AZ and NM are the only parts that have much beauty after that it is just rolling through plains. Maybe it will be good timing for the colors but even then it is kind of far south for that. You always make good video no matter where you find yourself.

Eric, There is one stop you must make on Route 66. In Catoosa Ok there is a Blue Whale. It's pretty famous and is a national landmark. Google address 2600 Rte 66, Catoosa, OK 74015. Thats a pretty cool story on that house. If it was fixed up, sure would be awesome to stop in. Hope they get their problems worked out. BTW-ever think of a Tater Tot Tour? LOL!
Too bad you didn’t go by the Brady Bunch House in Studio City. It is featured in a new short series with the original house remodeled to the exact interior studio set model. My daughter lives down the street and last week a marching band playing the Brady Bunch intro song came down her street. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing live going by her window instantly bring childhood memories.

We have stayed at the one in Cave City Kentucky --- and I have to say that there, the owner was incredibly friendly --- and worthy of a nights stay just for the experience...
San Bernardino was my home town and I grew up there in the 60’s, 70’s and eighties. It was A beautiful city then and now it’s gang infested and murders nightly. This cities unraveling is heartbreaking.
Man, you're on fire with the uploads lately! Keep up the good work Eric.

Thanks for the video. We traveled on Route 66 from Chicago to the Pacific Ocean in the 50’s. No freeways then.
Nice drone footage. PCH is on my bucket list.
Thats a pretty cool story on that house. If it was fixed up, sure would be awesome to stop in. Hope they get their problems worked out. BTW-ever think of a Tater Tot Tour? LOL!
Awesome drone coverage thanks for sharing 👊
Too bad you didn’t go by the Brady Bunch House in Studio City. It is featured in a new short series with the original house remodeled to the exact interior studio set model. My daughter lives down the street and last week a marching band playing the Brady Bunch intro song came down her street. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing live going by her window instantly bring childhood memories.
