Grab your popcorn and ride with me 😊. I want to say the Amtrak crew I rode with was absolutely amazing. The lead diner who was in charge of the dining hall was incredible. She kept everything in order and the dinning hall running smoothly. The gentleman that was in charge of my car was awesome. He Always checked to make sure if I was okay. Finally, the gentleman who ran the café was super nice and humble. He gave out free chips and pizza to the people in the economy class who couldn’t afford the meals on the train. I absolutely loved the crew. Even though there were ups and downs along the way, I would do that ride all over again and I think if you want to experience it, you should. I truly enjoyed that journey. Lastly, thank you to the conductor and the maintenance crew for getting us to our destination safely. Yes, there were maintenance issues along the way, but the most important thing is we made it safely.
Blessings on top of blessings I lost my sister to Cancer now my mom have it now I worried about me so far I'm safe I not going to claim it either Amen God give her life without pain uplifting you to healing and health Amen
Happy new year 🎊🎉and I love ❤️ living my nomadic introvert lifestyle through watching yours while I’m working..😊..you’re giving me good brown girl goals that I can do this too this year when I go on vacation 🎉great channel and proud and praying 🙏🏾 for you as you travel
I toured with ringling brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and lived on a train for over six years. I so loved this episode. You are right, u get to see America with different eyes. God bless
I love how you "wax poetic" when describing your journey. You have a gift of writing. You should consider documentary or writing a book. Your speaking voice is calming and pleasing to listeners. Appreciate you.
Some years ago I took that same train but I did round trip from Chicago to San Francisco and back to Chicago. I took the trip by myself because my husband had recently died and I took my brand new (at the time) Kindle loaded with a bunch of books and when I got tired of watching the beautiful scenery (though I seldom did that) I could read for a while. I also took side excursions to Las Vegas, where I saw Terry Fator who had recently won America's Got Talent, and to the Grand Canyon. Amazing! You are in for a great trip.
It's a train so bumpy rides are expected! Better than turbulance on a plane any time! Took fast train from Rome to Florence and back! Those things go too fast to be bumpy! Can see how fast they actually go when another train goes by in just seconds! Scary to see at first but, very smooth ride and huge windows!
If my train goes off the track, pick it up, pick it up, pick it up! Yo, who’s the black sheep… engine engine number nine on the New York transit line. 😂 I immediately started singing all out of verse as soon as nomi said she didn’t sleep well because she thought the train derailed 😂😂
I think traveling by a scenic train is a very romantic way to travel. You are very fortunate to have had this experience! I’m sure you will remember it fondly the rest of your life. Thank you for taking us along with you ❤
You are an amazing videographer. I praise God for His gifts in you. Thank you for sharing all the beautiful glorious adventures! I am praying for provision beyond your wildest dreams ❤
I always thought there was something glamorous and rather romantic about riding on a train. I hate getting on an airplane anymore with the rude people and no room to move. You've convinced me my next trip will be on the train. Thank you for the beautiful footage. .🚂
That cabin for 52 hours? Give me a pile of books and just let me know when we’ve arrived. Thank you for bringing us along. You are a kind, precious, noble soul. 😊
I know how great that trip is. My mom and I try to take a trip on Amtrak every year when they put their Rail Pass on sale. Which is on sale until January 17th for $299 dollars that's a $200 savings to be able to see America by rail.
You give me the famously Bob Ross the painter I grow up with on tv when there was no cable- he was soothing and put me to sleep every time I watched him
Go Nomi! This Academy Award-Winning editing is really nice! Safe travels! Cheers on making it to Chicago safely. Your ride was a metaphor for all of our lives… bumps, a few bruises, things not going according to plan…but when it’s all said and done, you arrived at your destination. Beautiful. 🙏🏾
First timer. Loved it. Your commentary was top notch. Storyline, angels and POV very authentic. Honestly, this made me want to take an Amtrak trip, and not want to simultaneously. Thanks for taking us on your journey!
Oh wow! ❤ I so enjoyed this long train ride with you and hated to see it end. 😢 I'm 70 years old and on social security so am unable to afford something like this, but someday I have a feeling ill be able to do this, I just know it! Thank you so very much for having us along. When you were eating breakfast on your last day, behind you sat a woman that looked just like me lol, so I pretended it was me lol. Safe journeys nomi! ❤
Amtrak offers a $299 pass until January 17th. It's good for 120 days, and you can ride 10 times. U have 30 days from the first ride to complete 10 rides. It's a great offer. You could save up for the deal next January. They offer it yearly. I have a trip to Denver, California, New Orleans, and Miami planned for the spring and summer. I'll be 🙏🏽 you. Get blessed to take the ride ❤
The Zepher is one of the trains my Dad had proudly on display in his home. I kept it when he passed. Trains are so great, I’m glad you did this trip! Thank you for sharing it
Hi. I'm retired at 67. This is exactly what I want to do. Thank you for this video. The beauty of the land. You even taught me about the Amtrak sleeper cars.
Love your adventures! I take the 17-hr overnight auto train from Va to Fla often. Tracks seem rougher each year. Last yr there was a 4-hr delay 20 min from our destination (Sanford). They kept us informed and brought us snack boxes and drinks during our wait (sadly, the delay was due to a pedestrian incident involving the SunRail train just ahead of us- the train conductor and personnel were very respectful of the situation while giving us the info). I’d rather be sitting in my roomette than sitting in the inevitable traffic delays on I-95 although I’d rather it have been for mechanical issues. Amtrak has wonderful employees on the train and off!
Thank you so much! I loved every minute of this video and appreciate your honesty about not being able to have a good night's sleep. I feel like a lot of channels try to gloss over that a little bit. But you literally went into detail. And when you said it's a different kinda cold in Nebraska, the way I hollered! 😂 May God be with you, 🙏 safe travels and looking forward to more adventures. ❤
I’m still watching your content. I keep rewinding. But I was cracking up when you said it was rough sleeping cuz the train felt like it was derailing 😂😂😂😂😂 gurlllll you cracks me up sometimes. It’s always an adventure with you 😅😅😅
Amtrak brings back so many memories of my childhood. Every summer we would take the Crescent line, from Ny to Atl. I always wanted to ride it all the way to NO
Wow, what a fun ride. I never thought of taking a train across the states to travel. I absolutely loved this video and you’ve planted a seed for me to consider on a fun travel method. Your spoken words like a poem , had me in tears. I listened to it many times, it is beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you Nomi. You've spared me the experiment. That doesn't look like a travel experience I would enjoy. I think I'd prefer your Canada train ride more. I appreciate you so much!
Hi, this is the first time that I've watched your videos. I haven't stopped smiling on the inside. Even though I'm not on the train, riding along with you has me feeling like I'm on the train with you.
I have been thinking of doing this for a couple of weeks now, and you pop up. This has to be a message from God!! Thank you for taking me on this journey with you. I definitely will be taking this cross-country journey from DC to California ❤❤
Sixteen years ago my children and I rode Amtrak, from New York to North Carolina. My children were 4 and 5 at the time. I relocated to North Carolina, that train ride was nice and the dinner was really good. You train ride looked nice and relaxing.

Hi There thank you for taking us along with you. The way you was eating and enjoying your meal, I can tell it was yummy. one day I might take a trip somewhere on Amtrack train.
I was listening but looking off when you were talking about the shower BUT the way I snatched my neck around to look back at my phone when you said you save 13 to 1400 by not getting a shower in your room, I bought broke my neck. 😂 Because geez.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. This has given me a pretty good perspective on what it’s like on a sleeping train. I’ve also decided to subscribe to your channel as well.
Aaayyy you started your journey in the BAY AREA.. 😊 Why am I so excited, too?! ☺️😀 Let me get back to watching , Im going to travel this way, too, someday. Happy journeys 😊
That’s so cool you took this trip! My friend and I decided last year we are taking this same trip this year in Oct but we are going both ways, from Chicago to CA then back, on the Zephyr We are each getting a Roomette across from each other so if the views are on one side we will go to that room and if they are on the other side we will swap to that room. Then at night we will each have our own sleep quarters. I love watching your videos! Thanks for sharing your journey over the years.
This is the first time I've found your channel (nice to e-meet you!) and it was so fun to see you ride this train alone too. I did this a few years back and it was such a great experience! ...from Chloé, not Ludvig ;)
Thank you for sharing Nomi! Bringing back so many memories of when I took the zephyr with my grandpa and cousins in the 90s, I think I was 13. Looks like not much has changed. 😂 Safest of travels to you!!
Wow the fog is rare in Emeryville! I did that same ride years ago, it took 3 days 😁 Good food on the train 😋 We had seats😂Nice privacy. I felt like I was still moving after 3 days 😂That cheesecake looks good. Yes trains are a little rough. $1600 crazy 🤪 🤑 Breakfast & lunch looks good. You’re forced to relax 😂Yes that tunnel thing is crazy. 😳
I love traveling by train. I have taken the auto train once, when I moved from NJ to Florida & most recently I have traveled via Amtrak from NJ to Fredricksburg Va to visit my niece. The swaying motion of the train is very relaxing. Have a great trip Nomi!
Always wanted to take this train! Since I was a kid. I got to see the new design somewhere and take a tour. The zephyr went really close to our house, maybe 5 miles away when we lived in Colorado.
Grab your popcorn and ride with me 😊.
I want to say the Amtrak crew I rode with was absolutely amazing. The lead diner who was in charge of the dining hall was incredible. I toured with ringling brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and lived on a train for over six years. I so loved this episode. You are right, u get to see America with different eyes. God bless
Wow, six years!
My favorite circus as a kid.
U can do that?
❤❤🎉
I'm so glad no more animal abuse in that establishment
I love how you "wax poetic" when describing your journey. You have a gift of writing. You should consider documentary or writing a book. Your speaking voice is calming and pleasing to listeners. Appreciate you.
I agree 💯
I was going to say the exact same thing and ask had she considered writing a book! ❤
I agree. She has a nice voice for storytelling. Very pleasing voice to listen. 😊
And when she does, she should do an audiobook too because she has the voice and cadence that is captivating and warm!
I totally agree. That is truly her gift.
