This one strikes me as REALLY weird. Like, the point is to emulate the show's prop as CLOSELY as possible, right? Hence the "Replica" in the name? Well, the one Gai uses in show is DEFINTELY just a the DX toy, the stubbier handle is a dead giveaway. At most, all they did was give it matte paint touch up, so the glossy plastic doesn't screw with the lightning in shots. The longer handle, though nice for the grip of an adult hand, actually takes points AWAY from show accuracy.
