Billionaire entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy opened up about his unique upbringing, including attending a mostly Black school in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born to Indian immigrants who came to the U.S. legally, Ramaswamy spoke about the diverse cultural experiences that shaped his perspective. Ramaswamy's parents emphasized the importance of connecting with their roots. "We spent many summers in a village in southern India," he recalled, describing rudimentary living conditions that contrasted sharply with their middle-class life in the U.S. This dual exposure instilled in him a deep sense of gratitude and cultural awareness. Despite his Hindu background, Ramaswamy attended a Catholic high school. While religiously different, he found similarities and felt enriched by the experience.

Nobody would be hating on Vivek if he wasn't a politician. He is very intelligent and a self made success story. He has a beautiful family and his wife is a beautiful doctor/surgeon. They live fairly humbly considering being a billionaire.
No one hates on him, he’s a grifter that never cared about the well being of others. He ran for office with the hopes of influencing tax regulations.

The moral of the story: The ultimate "privilege" is a Mother and a Father in the home with a focus on education and a faith in God. The chances of those children growing up successful are higher. It's hard to jump high off of an unstable foundation.

I absolutely relate to Vivek when he talks about going to school with kids that were rougher and from less means. My middle school was great but there were kids that exposed to a lot more street-type stuff that I got to know and become friends with. I then went to a private high school in a downtown, seedy neighborhood after.
Point being, getting exposed to the other side of the tracks was so to speak was important in my development of empathy and being able to relate to everyone

The moral of this story is, any group of people can succeed if government don't enslave them for hundreds of years. Yes, black people has so called succeeded despite the 400 years of slavery in America but it doesn't mean you dont see the evident wounds from them 400 years. Thumbs up to Vivek and his family.

Tbh this is language ideology. The only way something is proper English or proper any language is mere convention. People agree it sounds right and it becomes a rule. The rules could actually change and many so-called rules are arguably needless, like not splitting infinitives in English.
Ebonics has its own grammar. The present habitual is "be + ___ing" and taking out that word "be" changes the tense.
Don't believe me? Why is it acceptable grammar to add apostrophe 's' instead of saying 'is' after subject nouns? Isn't that confusing and leaves open the possibility for that subject noun to become possessive? Yet, it's considered "proper". Why isn't it considered eating your words and mumbling?
"John's beating" when using apostrophe 's' could be interpreted as John is beating someone else or John's possessed beating from someone else's doing.
Yet, pronouncing this 's' like that for both situations is considered good grammar. It's just mere convention. African Americans have their own dialect with its own rules, reflecting their history as a segregated sub-group within American society.
