Thanks for watching, yes some of these flights seem like they should have been avoided more than others. If there only had been a more experienced pilot with them. I hear that someone offered to fly with him, not sure if that really was the case.
@@DudeTours I watched a show about it last night, and they said one of his former flight instructors had offered but JFK Jr declined. Interesting since he was still on crutches from a broken ankle
@@hobiegal I know they were heading to a family event, but why pass up another set of eyes and hands? In the military, we had a saying when it came to operating, "Two is One, and One in None'". Guess that was true in this case.
He passed the FAA written examination but he was not instrument rated, there was only five mile visibility with no visible horizon, according to other pilots who flew that route that night.
As only a flight sim guy, at night over water seems pretty intense in low visibility. Would not want to have been piloting an actual aircraft in what the conditions appear to have been that night.
I’ve missed your flights. This was such a sad event.

It was a tragedy but the family that lost both daughters suffered the most imo.
Yes, I tried to point out the Bessette family sometimes are lost in that story.
@@DudeTours I hope I didn’t come off as accusatory or anything. You did a great job pointing it all out.
@@MGJDMNJ Oh no not at all, I was just agreeing with you. All good my friend.
@@DudeTours ok cool. Can’t wait for your next vid man. Your work is outstanding.

17:17 is that photo a still from the air crash investigation episode or is it real?
I believe it is from one of the episodes, so it must be a re-enactment. The photos in the actual NTSB report are mostly of individual components.
Thank you 😊😊😊
You need to do Scott Bloomquist!
That is definitely one of the topics on my list, so maybe in the near future. Thanks.
Such a tragic loss. 💔
The frame rate is absolute insanity. I’m sorry.
Otherwise known as JFK jr's suicide flight.
