The Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories at Purdue University are the largest academic propulsion lab in the world. It was founded in 1948 by Maurice J. Zucrow, air-breathing propulsion pioneer, and the first person to receive a Ph.D. from Purdue University. Today, Zucrow Labs continues to lead the way in research in turbomachinery, combustion, energetic materials, rockets, computational fluid mechanics, particle flow, atomization, and heat transfer.
