That does it! The next car I buy will be a 1950 Chevrolet!

My dad's uncle had a Chevy of a similar look as what is in this video.
A peculiar item missing in that car was a interior heater. Being in California, and the uncle being [ahem!] 'frugal,' he opted out of getting the car with a heater.
The uncle being an older guy, the car wasn't driven much. Hence, it was still running in 1964; albeit on its last legs.
Usually cars of that vintage rarely lasted 10 years. The quality of the materials and lubricants in the 1950s didn't allow for a long-life with those cars.
When I hear someone say: "They don't build them like they used to!" When it comes to automotive designs, materials, and builds . . . thank goodness of 21st century vehicles are not built to the 1950s standards.

In those years, disc brakes already existed, which were very efficient and simpler than tape brakes, but that technology was offered as the best highly engineered solution.
Also in those years there was mechanical fuel injection, much more efficient than the carburetor BUT IT WAS NOT OFFERED IN CARS.
Corporations were determined to sell the worst possible, the least reliable for decades, causing harm to humanity.

Now that's a car commercial, you actually learn about the entire car you are buying!, I watch modern commercials and after it's over you find out that you didn't learn one single thing about the car, they focus of people acting stupid or trying to be funny, they sure need to get back to the basics!

Sadly, just after they bought the car, they were in a minor collision. But both were thrown through the windshield, thanks to a lack of seatbelts, and spent many weeks in hospital, before dying from complications from multiple skull fractures, and leaving their children in an orphanage. On the good side, the car was easily repaired, allowing it to later continue it's reign of terror on more families.

“Safety” as in getting your kneecaps pierced by the radio dials, Mom loosing her teeth from the impact of the metal dash, and let’s not forget dad being impaled on the steering column.

Yeah, 100,000 miles on a 1950 car engine, was a major accomplishment...usually preceded by an engine overhaul...)
