I do a lot of things in my server with this custom npc mod and I never even knew most of the things you can do with it, thanks for this awesome video!
Also, I've got a question about the transporters, I used to know how to make so when you complete a quest you unlock a new place in the transporter, it was a very long time ago so cant remember how to do it. Like when you complete a quest you unlock the next place but none of that interaction, or getting near the teleporter stuff, it was like when you get your reward it unlocks, don't know how to explain it.. but yea.. If you know how to do something like this please let me know!

Thanks for your opinion, but unfortunately I ran out of good ideas for random tips and tricks, so I don't make second part soon.
Sure wish the use ranged attack option was in 1.12. Seems like it makes fights more dynamic
One of my ideas for using the mod is to make custom lootable 'stashes' or 'crates'. You use the slime model, make it immobile with 100% knockback resistance, and give it a block skin (chest for example), appropriate sounds and a list of loot to drop when 'smashed'. These can also be set to respawn which enables their locations to be revisited for 'raids' (like sites in MMOs).
My question is, do you know if there is a pack/folder of block/slime skins that would fit the npc model from the mod? The basic slime skins from the mod include just a stone, dirt block and a chest and it would be great to find a way to implement more interesting skins for these 'lootboxes'.
The vanilla blokc skins have mismatched outlines so that doesn't work, I was hoping for some efficient way to maybe convert these skins or find some other bank of textures that fit.
I think that you have to add custom skins, vanilla slime skin format will work for NPC slimes, probably, I didn't test it.
I used Mimic entity from other mods it look like a real chest!
you can kinda use the url to make custom textures for enemies, make a texture and post it somewhere on discord for example and then copy the url of the image and paste it and boom

These tips are awesome! I'm curious about the faction system, is there a way to make status between factions more dynamic? For example can they change between peaceful and hostile, maybe engaging with trades or raids with scripts?
With scripts it is probably possible. Additionally CNPC mod adds new commands that can be used in the command block that increase, or decrease number of faction points for choosen faction.

Hey can someone help me, i want to make a quest where you kill a custom npc bandit, but when i try to add the entity to the kill quest it doesnt show up, other mod entities do, but i cant find a way to add my custom npc to it, please help ive been stuck on this for hours.

I think that mods with modern stuff may add something like night vision device or heatvision.

For some reason my NPC won’t fight the bait but they will only fight it when they are at a 1 block distance
Maybe it can be fix if you set "MustSeeTarget: No" or "AttackInvisibleTargets: Yes". Eventually you can make empty skin with no pixels and use it for baits, so you will be able to set that bait is "visible" not "invisible". And are you sure that you set big "AggroRange"?

Can the viewing distance be adjusted to more than 64°?
Yes, but only on newer versions of Custom NPC+ on 1.7.10 (IDK if it works on 1.16.5 or 1.12.2) and you have to go to "appdata" --> ".minecraft" --> "config", then find cnofig file of CNPCs mod, open it with notepad, find line of text with information about aggresion range (viewing distance) and increase it. But you must do it carefully. Anyway, the bigger aggression range you set, the worse performance you get - with big aggression range you will have problems with FPS if you spawn many NPCs, especially if your PC isn't strong. So changing this value above 64 is not good for every kind of map and it won't be good for server.

I remember addon that changes animations of some models of NPCs, but I don't remember its name. Probably there are more addons, but I don't have clear informations about it.

You can't edit skins with this mod. You have to use a skin editor to edit skin, later you can load edited skins to mod and use them.

i created a enemy that attacks me but i cant do any damage in survival for some reason?
IDK, sometimes when I play too long, game starts lagging and NPCs became immunie to player's melee attack.

When I got in game and tried to put the skins on they are all broken
They should work. Did you test new and old format variants? On 1.7.10 you should use old format, but on custom NPCs+ you can use new format. On 1.12.2 and above you should use new format for your skins.

How do I fix?
My other skins for npc's are glitched......idk how to fix this...plz tell me
1. On 1.12.2 and above skins with big letters or weird character (like ź ü) in names are glitched (game crashes, but I'm not 100% sure).
2. On 1.7.10 you must use old format of skins (64x32) in Custom NPCs mod, but for 1.12.2 and above you have to use new format (64x64). (Incorrect format makes skins look weird).
3. When skins are pink and black it means that these skins are missing.
Eventually you can describe your problem more detailed, so then will be bigger chance that I will be able to help you.
@@npcwarplus2395 uh that um probably all skins are glitched....somebody have no arm and some skins are pink and black and uh some skins are missing their body parts ( no legs no arms )
So how can i change skins format from 64x32 to 64x64
And yeah i m using 1.16.5 forge version in my pc

Can't locate "userangedattack" in version 1.16.5
Unfortunately version for 1.16.5 isn't finished and lacks of some features from its version for 1.7.10.
using bait npcs in 1.16.5 doesn't seem to work for range npcs,
Yes, on 1.16.5 range options are unfinished, for example range NPCs can't move or missiles work worse than on 1.7.10 or 1.12.2. I hoped that it will fixed, but development of CNPCs mod for 1.16.5 stopped or slowed down, for a long time author of this mod hasn't uploaded any snapshot for CNPCs.
