At the end of the day it's a Devilbiss so what more can you say, you get an all rounder which will lay practically any paint you have plus you are getting the reliable GTI Pro quality which is a win win in my book, thanks for doing this video Gunny and the finish from the GPG is what you would expect from a top of the range Devilbiss. It will be great to see the gun in action on your RAW channel mate as I've been missing your daily uploads Gunny but I'm sure you are busy and cant always do them, just hope you are ok and keeping well Gunny, stay safe 🙏👍 John UK.
The caps aren’t all Interchangeable, I bought a different cap and it didn’t fit over the 1.8 fluid tip LOL extremely disappointed. As the caps cost over £100 alone. Hello Gunman I am interested in getting a good spray gun and I have seen many videos where the gti is my option but I saw the GPG and I also liked it what do you recommend?
Would the 1.8 GPI/GPG be suitable for spraying Line-X bed coating? Or is that too chunky to go through it? Amazing the GPI design has stood up over time so well!

I purchased the devilbiss gpg spray gun and it came with a gpg2 cap. I can’t get the fan to adjust higher than a 4” fan. It does a fairly poor job of spraying. I used it once and went back to my older Concours gun. I’m spraying base with a 1.5 tip and have the input pressure around 26 psi. I’ve tried and tried to get it setup but nothing works. I sent a message to Devilbiss but have heard nothing. The gun is worthless to me the way it is and I’m looking for help to get it setup! Thanks, Mark!
Glad to see you revisit the GPG! I recently bought a GPG here in the US and experience the same uneven primer buildup on the air cap. No amount of adjusting seemed to make any difference. I use it exclusively as a primer gun and find it worse with the higher-build primer surfacers than the epoxy primers. Kinda learned to live with it. Where have you found your GPG happiest on air pressure range? Thanks agin for another great vid!
Thank you my man. I wanted to get a dedicated primer gun for my DIY projects and was actually researching what will be value for money for me. Now that you’ve recommended it, GPG is what it’s gonna be! Just trust your opinion! I think I’ll get the 1.3 as an extra so I will be able to use it as my wet on wet primer too. Very very intuitive. God bless
I know this is an old review and you aren’t likely going to see my question, but how would you rate this vs a pro lite. Is it really worth the extra money for the pro?
If you're playing from home GPG would suffice, but I would prefer the extra tip and air cap options if you're a daily painter. Plus you get lots more use out of it which makes the extra money justified.
The flg5 is a nice gun but it's cast aluminum instead of machined like the gpi/gpg. They both spray clear really well. It's when you are spraying difficult metallic like silver base coat there is a difference between the two. Gpi has slightly better atomization. Just my experience with them. The gpi will last much longer than the flg5.
So if you were to pick 3 guns one for primer.one for base and one for clear. kind of on a budget which guns would you pick. gpg. Flg5. iwata bellaria? I’m just starting out and just want to make sure I get something decent👍 thanks man

Which one of these is former gpi? In one of his previous comments Gunny mentions setings 15psi primer, 20psi base, 29psi clear, that to me looks like gpg1aircap.
I have the old GPi 1.4mm due to your recommendation and currently got a old classic I’m restoring so want a flat finish with minimum orange peel so going to get a 1.3mm fluid tip. I think the fluid tips are the same as the GTi pro and pro lite ‘pressure’ guns, would you know if the GTi pressure T110 air cap would fit? Or should I just stick with what came with the gun? I assume the GPi cap is similar to the TE10 cap?
Gunny, is it worth spending $100 more and getting this gun setup with 1.8 and 1.4? Or should I get the FLG-5 with 1.8/1.4? I already got a GTI Pro Lite 1.3 T110 for clear, so I’m just looking for a single gun k can use for primer/base.
