    Some might cringe at this but I really don’t have a budget for groceries. I am very mindful of how I spend my money and I shop like you do and have a nicely stocked pantry and freezer in my basement. In addition, I use coupons and rebate apps. I am a big drugstore couponer for household items, toiletries, and some food. I usually pay very little out of pocket at the drugstore. It’s just me, my husband, and I still have an adult son at home so we don’t buy a lot; however I do stock up on sale items so some weeks I only need to buy bread, lunch meat, milk, and fresh produce aside from any really good sale items I may need. I feel very blessed and I donate a lot to a local women’s shelter and my church food pantry.

      You have obviously mastered the art of couponing and stretching your money! It's the thrill of the hunt for the deals sometimes! And yes, what a blessing to be able to share so freely with others. I hope to get back into the drugstore game this year. Hopefully! ☺️

    Wow! It is amazing how much ground beef you were able to purchase and still stay under budget! I love these “end of the month tally” videos.

      I think that is so smart to set aside $100 every month to Stockpile something! I absolutely love that idea...and may have to adopt that myself! 😍 Because you are right, having flexibility with our spending is helpful!

    What a blessing to be able to stock up on ground beef! I'm completely out right now and I'm waiting for a good sale. One issue I find with my stores is that they usually limit us to 2 family packs of ground beef if there is a good deal. Unfortunately, I don't live close to the stores that do have good deals on beef (30 minutes away) so it is difficult to keep going back...We are raising calves for the first time this year but they won't be ready for months yet.

      @joyfullythriving  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The limits make it so much more challenging - as does living further away from stores. I am hoping you find a good sale or two to tide you over until your own calves are ready!

    I love seeing the grocery hauls both ways because it really gives you different pictures of what is on sale versus how you make the budget work. Totally agree that many people find the eclectic shopping odd but I find any other way of shopping confusing. Love that you got 80 pounds of ground beef. I think that would probably last my family a year but I have never stocked up on that much of it. Can’t wait to see what June brings.

      You and me both! The longer I shop like this, the easier it is. Well, the increasing prices don't make it as easy but shopping the sales? It's just routine now. Here's to June and continuing to find the best deals!

      If you are tyoe two diabetic these youtube channels are so good. ..beat diabeties (Dennis Pollick), Dr. Berg, and Jason Fung. Intermittent fasting is really good for reversing type two. I just eat 10-12 p m and 5 p.m. These channels talk about lowering carbs. I di not do keto. 🙏

    I am sure that you have a video but how do you start this process on a limited budget ($100 for 2 adults)?

    • @joyfullythriving
      @joyfullythriving  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question! Do you have a $100 budget per week or per month? I don't specifically have a video on that (yet!) but the way I would start is by simply shopping the sales. Look for the best deals of what you eat and buy an extra can / package when you can. When your budget is tight, it takes a bit longer to get momentum rolling but once you have some extra items in your pantry it becomes easier to shop this way. @@joyfullythriving Thank you! I am trying to challenge myself to stay within a weekly budget of $100 for food and $25 weekly for household while also trying to build a stockpile.

      @@planningfoodmoneywithmiche7868 You can definitely do it! $100 a week is a very doable amount, especially when shopping the sales. Keep watching those sales and slowly adding items to your kitchen. You will be amazed at how it starts adding up!
