At the start of June 2022 I was sitting having my breakfast in a small hotel in the Lake District, England, when my ears pricked up to the open chords of this song. I had my phone with me so opened Shazam and waited for an answer. Beach Fossils, never heard of them before. Then that jazzy flute break came in (which for some reason reminds me of Zero 7) and I'm hooked... Then that string and guitar solo ending happens and I immediately need to hear more of this band... It doesn't happen often, but discovering music like this always thrills me to pieces.
I was on my phone and my tablet was open on TH-cam. so yooo my knee legit picked this song and I don't think my knee has done anything more amazing. ❤❤
I really dig the soulful direction in this song! Down the Line and This Year still have that laid back, lo-fi rock sound with his drifty, far away voice. I still LOVE you Beach Fossils!
loving The Beatle influence in this song. Experiment, grow, learn. Ignore the whiny ppl who can't appreciate good music and progression. Don't people understand that doing the same thing over and over is dull and tiresome. You think musicians want to keep playing the same things over and over? Get outside of your comfort zone and experience new things, geesh

This video captures the essence that's overlooked which makes NYC and its people so beautiful. I really liked this song at first but was disappointed how indistinct it is from other songs by Beach Fossils. Now it's my favorite song by them for its quality in maturing sound. Also, my favorite music video of 2017.
agreed, its fantastic, an exploration and a broadening of their sound. Many musicians and artists push the limits of their talent to solidify foundation, knowing what brought success always revealing that again in future work. love this band..

I think it sounds amazing, yeah it might not sound like older albums but that doesn't mean is trash, I also fell in love with their lo-fi kinda dream pop sound but if you don't try new things you're doing something wrong and this guys kinda killed it with the new songs in my opinion.

I think this is phenomenal, for an artist to step out of the ordinary and go into something new is a big step! I think it sounds good, been a fan since day one and I hope they continue to grow
