  • This example problem is part of Module 6 in my Prestressed Concrete Design course on calculating stresses using strain compatibility approach (decompression force and moments). Transformed section properties, strain at centroid, curvature, and strains at stresses are found for a rectangular prestressed concrete section with an applied moment. Linear elastic material properties are assumed for this approach and this problem.

    hi David,
    thanks a lot for the great videos. maybe you've mentioned this in your other videos but I couldn't find it...where does locked-in strain differential come from and how is it calcualted?
