The deck is really strong right now but this is not the peak list even though different people got a bunch of 5-0s with it very recently, running 4x highway robbery and 1-2 mix of dispute/answer gives the deck never ending gas and consistency in the madness plays, the new ping lands gave it renewed mana consistency as well, previously the deck was okish but was very unstable both in mana base and synergy, now it's great and it's slowly being rediscovered.
Im surprised Highway Robbery isn't finding a home here more often. Seems like being able to plot it, then use it a following turn for free can open up really nice plays.
With Highway Robbery you don't have to worry about making land drops because you can sac one you already played instead of discarding one So the upsides are the plot and being a better topdeck lategame, but the downside is not being able to sacrifice artifacts
I've really liked Highway Robbery. Especially with the addition of the new Desert, it gives a very strong 2 Mana option to plot, where the deserts tend to slow down the deck.
Deadly Dispute and Demand Answers are far superior, because you keep getting something out of them. With DD you get a Treasure while chumpblocking or taking away the target of opponent's removal, while DA goes well with Scrapwork Mutt (or even lands) or enables Madness. At instant speed, which is an advantage instead of being forced to play in your turn. (Of course, everything imho)
I do need to remind everyone that both Demand Answers and Deadly Dispute have discard as an additional cost. Highway Robbery is an if clause on resolution. That alone is just gas, but the added value from the plot puts Robbery on top imo
I kinda miss Tyrant's Choice in this deck. 4 dmg for 2 mana is such a good and rare thing to get. It's basically the pauper equivalent to Boros Charm in that regard. I think the Dispute could be a possible cut. As powerful as that card is, it still costs you tempo, without an immediate impact on the game.

hey mengucci i was wondering im looking to start playing pauper at my locals and im a big fan of grindy or combo decks what do you reccomend i pick up, i was gonna default on jeskai glitters buts its a little hard find the singles i need
Sarei curioso di sapere cosa ne pensi riguardo all'eventualità di togliere Tomb Raider definitivamente per aumentare i draw engines, dato che il 90% delle volte usciva dal mazzo in g2. Bellissimo di primo turno, ma quando lo giri al quinto/sesto turno e sei inchiodato non è il massimo della vita.
