Hi there! What is the difference between what you made in the video, and a cider? (except for the alcohol in the latter)

@@HarryNansenThe answer you got isn’t exactly right. If you mean like “Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider,” then, yes-because Martinelli’s takes the label off (not literally) “Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple Juice” and slaps “Cider” on. They are the exact same product sold differently as a marketing thing.
In reality, actual sparkling cider is a product of fermentation, which is a much longer process. All you’re doing here is carbonating apple juice, which produces you sparkling apple juice. They are two very different products that taste very different from each other.
If you’re going for Martinelli’s, though, this is the way. Just don’t call it cider ha

@@studentism I am not from the US, and have never tasted a Martinelli's. But I get your point anyway. Fermentation is definitely a critical factor in the production of cider.

@@HarryNansen yeah, for some reason a lot of people here in the US conflate the two terms because Martinelli’s is absolutely more common than actual cider here. thought i should clear things up, just in case! cheers
