    The black motor wire connects to the black wire on the CDI (ignition) box. It's the ground wire (negative).
    The blue wire from the motor connects to the blue wire of the CDI box. It's the positive wire.
    The throttle wire has 2 little colored wires. You can either connect one of them to the blue wire or both of them, by splicing them together, etc.

    My motor came with everything connected, except for the Kills switch ., The kill switch has 1 black and 1 blue wire with connecting heads on the wires, but my 4 stroke motor is all covered . I don’t see a cdi or anything and this is my 1st gas motorized anything. I don’t see any wires coming from the motor with the female ends on them to push the wires in.

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Look at the top right of the engine. You'll see the spark plug wire and just underneath it you'll see a wire. That one can be hooked up to the kill switch. If the wire is connected to a switch, you can use that switch to kill the engine or you can tie that wire to the kill switch (either wire) then the other wire coming back from the switch can be connected to the case on the lower right of the engine. All is required to kill the engine is provide an electrical path of the wire just under the spark wire to the engine case and you'll kill the engine

      I think zi found it , my motor has a off/on switch on the body of the motor. 1 wire is black and the other is yellow, the yellow wire looks like it’s ran to the body of the motor. Did I find it ?

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WinstonMyers-il5dl You found it. All it does is provide a path to the case and shorts out that wire. You can splice a wire to the throttle switch and use either one. Just make sure the switch on the body is set back to on to run

    I'd like to add that it is quite possible that the wire colors do not always correspond to how they need to be wired up. I bought 2 new CDI units and a new magneto before I eventually thought about reversing the connections so that blue went to black instead of blue to blue and black to black. After doing that I got spark working. I just assumed that the wires were colored properly from the factory and that it was just my bad luck that I paid for non working parts. And due to the cheapness of them, that they were chinese made, and my experience with buying direct from China that I should expect faulty goods. But the wrong colors were a new one for me. Now my issue is a weak yellow spark that has (lol) to be a bad wire issue causing that problem. So I'm going to replace the entire wiring harness assembly entirely. And solder each connection instead of using Spade terminals etc .. I'm currently trying to discern what guage of wire will work best. Any help on that front would be appreciated. I knew going in that frequent maintenance and replacing various parts would be a regular routine but not the 3 weeks of use then this problem which has frustrated me no end and I've left it sitting now for about a year since it last ran. I've exhausted everything except the replacement wiring after which if that doesn't increase spark strength I only have the magneto magnets left to replace or try yet another seller for a quality CDI magneto setup. I've found no difference between the so called high performance ones with red wiring for the plug other than cost and color. I don't think quality parts are even made at all for these bikes unless the sheer volume of junk part sellers has so dwarfed them that is almost impossible to find one anymore. As I'm sure the bad seller just makes a new account when they've destroyed the reputation of one so much that no one buys anymore.

    • @supersportryder
      @supersportryder 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@andrewgonzalez4230 Yeah i do it as slow as i could, what could it break? This dude that i like is pluggin connectors that will do the job so much better than stock if you want to use them. I feel I should not have even brought it up here but it does make a neater bike and your magneto does not have to push current up and down those long wires, only direct short wires to cdi.

    i have 3 motorized bikes, i have never bothered using the kill switch. i know its fun for kids to have the button,

      @@EliWagnon sometimes i choke it out yes, but usually i stall it, btw the clutch can take loads of slipping, infact the pads don't even wear down in my experience. sometimes i pin it full throttle burnout and stall it that wayto turn it off. have you tried doing a burnout? its fun and challenging, stand over the bike both feet on the floor, hold front brake and try to get rear wheel to spin. its fun!

    Ah. A electronics tech with over 40 yrs experience that kill switch is a very bad idea what you really wanna do is a series switch in line with either the black or red wire because with electronics in CDI you going to burn out the transistor that pulses the ignition coil and also short power from magneto coil and both parts are going to go bad a lot faster why I am saying this is because after diagnosis with a multi meter found that happened to me it's doing the same as saying I wanna shut off my lamp Soo just short out the outlet dugh no don't use this method
