I recently lost 2 fingers in an accident on my right hand, and this content is keeping me in the game. I can't fingerpick anymore as i used to but it is very inspirational. So many songs to learn..
Your tutorials are always appreciated. I recognise it might not be the most cost-effective or efficient use of your time. Thank you, you treat your fans well.
Two things leap out of this video. Number 1 is the genius of Paul McCartney. Number 2 is the genius of Josh Turner to be able to break this great song down as he has done, rearrange it in a way that allows him to perform it solo without desecrating the original, and at the same time articulate his technique in such a knowledgeable and eloquent manner.
You have such a careful ear and an uncanny ability to pick out the elements that absolutely define the music. Even on pieces with 7-8 musicians performing, you by yourself (and also with Carson) are able to evoke the fullness and richness of a song. An awkward compliment from a longtime subscriber, I used to be surprised by your vids but Josh, you are an amazing force who has truly mastered his craft.
🌵🌞 Josh, I’m 65 years old, this is my favorite Beatles song, your instructions were so simple and clear Thank you, you are young but your choice of music has roots in my generation.
I have no musical ability but I really love this video. I think you must be a really nice person. You restore some of my faith in the human race. It’s a beautiful song. I grew up on the Beatles.
Thank you so much! I have tried to learn this song with the chords in the published charts, and I always go away frustrated that it doesn’t sound like the music in my head. This captures the spirit of the record!
Great Josh, I have to say though, the tutorial that MUST be done is for “still crazy after all these years”. Yours is THE arrangement to play. It CAN NOT be improved upon.
@@smwatson1512 I bought the pdf version of those tabs... Money well spent! What I'm dying to get a lesson for is his cover of "Day Goes On" by Bill Wurtz.
You're a legend Josh. You are my inspiration as a professional musician. I'm your fan since I heard your "Operator" cover with Carson, Reina and Toni (they are amazing too). Greetings from Brazil!!
I'm a lousy plucker (?) never practiced enough, so it's mostly strumming for me Josh. You're a great teacher and I really enjoyed this lesson- thank you
Beautifully arranged and graciously taught at just the right pace. Thank you Josh Turner. Grateful to be a subscriber to your channel, and also follow you as a gifted, generous and truly eclectic musician...
When I saw Paul McCartney live at Metlife Stadium, I was prepared to hear songs like Hey Jude, and Let it Be. I knew they would have strong effects on me, hearing the man who wrote them perform them live. Then with no introduction, he went into Here, There, and Everywhere, a song I wasn't preparing myself to hear, and I absolutely started bawling. Such a beautiful song that should be up there with the likes of Let it Be and Hey Jude. Definitely going to take some time to get this cover down, thanks Josh.
Liked how this was delivered for existing guitar players with a knowledge of the entire fretboard. (Intermediate and above). Thank you. You are generous to take some time to help others without hawking websites or other products. Thanks again and best wishes on the new album production.
You are a super teacher, Josh! So much better in how you structure your tuition than so many others who purport to be guitar teachers on the internet. Really excellent - thanks!
I gotta tell you for a person who has played guitar all my life and I have enjoyed and learned much from you and your technique. Please do more of these.
Just an amazing arrangement and interpretation... harmonies for vocals all built in. Great job ( camera positioning with contented cat background) making it so easy to see what you are doing at both hands... it will be hard enough to get this one all down - but worth it so I hope by end of summer ahead... Thanks a bunch!
I love the way you play it. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago, I already covered this song on my channel, but I'll learn your version anyway. Thanks Josh!
I swear your tutorials were made just for me. I know enough that I can follow along with pausing and anytime I think "hmmm that's a weird voicing/why is his hand there for that chord?" You expand on it quickly.
I know these tutorials don't get as much love as your normal videos, but I just wanted to say I really appreciate them. I feel like this and Paul Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years are two of your best covers. I would love a tutorial of how you played that song too. Or even just more Paul Simon covers lol his whole " There goes Rhymin Simon" album is just so good.
Great! Love you tuned down a full step...your arrangement is really nice...I’ll give it a go! Thanks Josh! I really enjoy your work...so good...always!
Thank you Josh for sharing this, hope to see you on stage on day. You are my favorit musician on TH-cam since I discover your channel with sultans of swing. Greetings from Algeria !
Looks like it is branded with the Wurlitzer name on the headstock. Are you guessing mid-60's? I thought it might be a rebuilt Baxendale custom, but it doesn't appear to be....
Awesome insight and style. Love to see you tutor, man. Been listening to your postings for some time now. This is just outstanding. And one of my favorite authors and his songs.
Very good ,I wish you would make a series of videos on how you choose an arrangement .I know that would be involved with some music theory ,but most of us out here really need to understand why certain things sound better than others .thanks again great video as always
Gotta say thanks for this. I got 95% of it from the original video, just one or two bits in the bridge section I missed. Congrats on a beautiful arrangement btw.
Hi Josh, wonderful interpretation and lesson as always. Beautiful harmonisation of voice with the guitar. Can’t wait for your next works! Greetings from Italy!
brother i really appreciate this, cause i really love how you did it, i have seen your performance video more that 100 times i love it thanks for show us how do you play it
Hi Josh, I happened to stumbled on your channel & I´m glad I did! I´m a big Beatles fan.🤩 I was looking for an acoustic version of this particular Beatles song & your arrangements & tutorial makes it easy to learn. I really like the timecodes you made of each section of the song/chords. Not many guitar tutors have the patience or even bother to do that which, for us beginners is such of great help. I have a guitar as a bday present last year & I´ve only taken it out from the bag/cover once! It was a case of a ¨miss-the-hint¨ present as I would have liked a keyboard instead! Although I play a ukulele but I wasn´t keen on starting to learn the guitar...just yet. I felt a bit intimidated even by just looking at it. After watching your tutorials & your way of teaching it gives me so much inspiration, encouragement & motivation to unpack & pick up my guitar and I will give it a go from here on! 🎸Thanks, Josh for being so generous with your talent.🙏
Great tutorial. I always get a kick out of you using the Zoom H2 so effectively. I purchased the H2N after watching your usage of it. They are amazing mics for this sort of thing.
Love your tutorials, Josh. Would love more on how you play your versions of songs, I've been staring at the Harmony Hall video trying to understand your finger magic. Really motivating to have something to work towards! Thanks.
Thank you so much for posting this!! This cover got me hooked on your channel :) Lovely of you to post tutorials and share your beautiful arrangements!
Listening for this beautiful arrangement of one more Paul's great song, I was totally feeling like Ladybug ( the cat for those who don't know , my favourite Josh's song !). This music makes you feel Mankind is not all rotten after all...
I recently lost 2 fingers in an accident on my right hand, and this content is keeping me in the game. I can't fingerpick anymore as i used to but it is very inspirational. So many songs to learn..
sorry about that buddy!
You can still play interesting patterns by travis picking though ;).
Don't give up my friend - just adapt :-)
Django Reinhardt also lost two fingers and he was one of the greatest guitar players you can do it bro
Not sure I could look at a guitar again if that happened to me, good on you for keeping on
Your cover of this song brought me so much peace last year as I was going through a small rough patch. Looking forward to learning it now!
Hope you’re okay now bro x
@@marcofurio9380 aw thanks bro. I am! :)

I’ve been playing this, with many variations, literally since 1968 and yet you’ve given me a couple ideas I’ve never thought of. Thanks.

It has been very well transcribed by someone. In the comments on the video. I learned the arrangement from that + the video.

I agree, though i noticed there was a lot of similar chord progression in this song as his still crazy cover.
@@heathkish6901 could you send a link for that?

I'm no musician so I didn't even understand a single word of this tutorial but damn, that was fascinating to watch.
If Josh released a course for some of his solo work or some “the other favorites” songs, I wouldn’t even think twice about buying it instantly.
agreed!
I love this guy! But really, he needs to spend more time writing original songs. Everybody wants a new Josh album.
I love watching tutorials coming from professionals like u
Other than beeing a great musician, this man is a great guitar instructor. Very rare!
Not all great players are able to explain so clearly what they are doing. Thank you for this

This is my favourite love song of all time.. thank you so much for this lesson
I gotta tell you for a person who has played guitar all my life and I have enjoyed and learned much from you and your technique. Please do more of these.
Enjoy, repeat ❤
Spot on with the the voicing for that pseudo 2-5 turnaround. It flows so nicely when you have the ringing A to segue between the F#m7 and B7.
I love this arrangement. Wonderfully explained too...❤

The bit F#min7 to B7 is what does appear in the books I'v seen. What's really special is that F#min is played against a natural C!!
its a birthday gift for me!!! THANKS JOSH!
