I can't believe they didn't theme the actual cards at all - I can see rip-offs of those backplates being available pretty quickly and rendering the purchase of those cards all but pointless.
I guess this will be the new thing seeing as PowerColor did changeable backplates too. I'm not opposed to the idea as it will give people an easy way to customise parts without voiding their warranty but if you're going to do "limited edition" GPUs at least make the actual GPU different.
A printout of the Mona Lisa isn't worth as much as the original regardless of looking the same
@@shakkabo you can't compare the 2 - I get the point you're trying to make but unlike hand made, unique items these are made by machine and quite easily replicated (especially if you have an original in your possession).

Extra weight on your gpu for no reason and extra space taken up in the case and extra matter to block airflow and it doesn't even conduct the heat from the real backplate.

okay basically they add some figures and collectables lets say which you can find anywhere. also you can make a custom backplate you did this multiple times. if you making a limited edition gpu just make it feel special like adding a custom sleeve cable or paint the whole card.

i have a 3080 amp holo zotac after 25 months psu cable melt inside the connector onthe board and they are not honoring the warraty ps they didn't even allow me to send the card just keep trolling me asking my gpu infos

Beware. My Spiderverse RTX 4070 came with broken RGB out of the box. I have been thrown for a loop by both Zotac and amazon for the past week trying to diagnose the issue and get a replacement. Amazon will only allow me to do a refund and not a replacement and zotac won't offer additional assitence because it's still in the return period. Pain.
The box was more detailed than the gpu design 💀

I dont much care at all about ultra rare GPUs man, i just want one that can play any game. Fr tho, this is pretty cool as decoration for someone with the money to buy this. Tho, the backplate is all there is thats unique to it. You could easily customize and order one online or find someone who makes customised GPU backplates for probably cheaper prices.
