Oh my god. That stretch from 88 to County Line was always hell. I used to work in the Lakewood industrial park so I would have to take 9 all the way to the turnpike EVERY morning. It's one of the reasons I moved to California.
New Jersey. But right now, I live in Eureka. (Humboldt County). Square mileage of this county is half the size of NJ. With the population of Toms River and Brick. Very spread out. It's bad down south in the Bay Area, but that's 5 hours from here. I spent 6 years delivering anything and everything all around Ocean Monmouth, then 2 years all around NY and up into MA. The absolute worse is anything around the GWB.
I took this section on US 9 through Lakewood once just to see that part of the highway from Route 70 to 195. Will never do that again. 6 morons behind their wheels cut me off and nearly got in an accident plus the people walking out infront of you without paying attention! Just crazy
Just cant stand Lakewood, too many people, too many antiquated roads. No wonder why the 559 bus is always late (the one in your video was about 15 min late). Its that 2 lane section of US 9, it should have been widened ages ago. Once north of Main St.-88 on the wider section you start moving again. Better off just taking the Parkway to Exit 90 to take 88 into Lakewood.
I know these roads in Lakewood well, I hate driving through on that road, between the potholes, the Jewish drivers, and the traffic and congestion there. Just about everyone I know has been involved in some type of accident in Lakewood.
i havent been in accident yet. But Lakewood is the extreme end of my delivery zone and i was only go through there if i go to xscape movies in howell and want some lakewood dashcam footage haha

Let's not talk about the 1,017,808 drivers who were arrested in the US for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics in 2016. Not too many of them were from the OJC!
Increasing the capacity will only make the problem worse, i suggest getting better public transport to relieve traffic because more lanes just make it worse
Only times I ever go on that section of 9 is Friday nights or Saturday. Every other time I'll stick with New Hampshire or the parkway.

It's not even safe on Saturday's in Lakewood because the Lakewood natives are on foot, darting across route 9 in all black and getting hit by cars.
