I would love to see a video where you show how you make texture in/ with your soft solder.
For now I am working on my soft soldering and wire skills for making pieces, but I am very interested in the copper electroforming as well, so I love watching your other videos too.😊💖👍

Love the texture and your tutorial! I tried soft soldering about 4 years ago with not much luck. So any tutorials about that will be appreciated. Meantime, I think I'll try again🤩.

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to make little follow-up videos with more tips for each phase!

Great tutorial! Really clear instructions and easy to follow. Thank you. Do you think it is possible to put the copper tape around the gemstone then solder a copper jump ring to the tape?

More tutorials please 🙏 I've just started this, but my solder keeps going dirty and black but I don't know why 😢

Might be a few reasons, from the flux and solder you are using, the temperature of your solder, how clean your solder is.

Out of curiosity, did you mean Mohs scale, not ohm? Beautiful piece and great instructional video, thank you!

What brand of lead free solder do you prefer? I'm a stained glass artist that mostly creates window pieces with l60/40 ead, but occasionally I do small glass necklaces and such and the patina options for lead free have not been great. I've been extremely thorough in cleaning, so I'm wondering if my solder choice is making things harder. Spool is so old I'm not sure about ratio of metals. I've read higher tin content makes a difference, but have yet to experiment. Love to know what you've learned. Thanks!

More tutorials please. I’m having trouble getting the solder to adhere to the foil tape. I cleaned with alcohol after applying to the stone. Any help is appreciated.

Use flux. Make sure the tape is CLEAN. Solder won’t stick if there is oil from your fingers. Metal to metal bond, with nothing in-between.

What kind of liquid Flux do you use?

      Most likely stained glass flux

Sorry just saw this! I use aquiflux which i can also use for silver since i work with multiple metals, i have a variety of fluxes so i just grab whichever... i
