Nice reaction! This song is on my head 24/7 lately. I'm always glad to hear from rock fans who are open-minded. So many aren't willing to give newer bands a chance, immediately assuming they can't measure up against the classics, but unwilling to stay for the ride and see what they'll become in a few years. I believe these guys are doing something HUGE bringing rock back into mainstream and making it cool again for a new generation. You guys should catch some live performances too! It's where they excel at, in my opinion. (This video made me thirsty lol)
You are right. They have cited Franz Ferdinand several times among their influences. I think that their music is Middle European rock with elements of pop rock made in the USA to like the Yankees more. To like in USA is the dream of four very good Italian guys. The Gazometro was the largest gasometer in Europe and is located in the Ostiense district of Rome.
